This month’s highlights include fantastic MMA action at Cage Wars 55, a Lunar New Year Celebration with a traditional Lion Dance, a special Lunar New Year Rush Rewards Card, $10,000 Poker Tournaments, a FREE UFC pay-per-view event at the Rivers Sportsbook, Country Nights at Van Slyck’s, and other great live entertainment. 

Rivers Casino is open 24/7. Masks are optional for fully vaccinated guests. Guests who are not vaccinated, or only partially vaccinated, from COVID-19 must continue to wear a mask.

Gaming

Gaming Floor – The Rivers Casino gaming floor with slots, video poker and more is open 24/7. Full beverage service is available Sunday through Thursday until 2 a.m. and on Friday and Saturday until 4 a.m. Non-alcoholic beverage service available 24/7.

Table Games – Table games are available Sunday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 4 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 5 a.m.  

Poker Room - Rivers Casino’s poker room is open daily from 10 a.m. until 2 a.m. The poker room includes 16 tables and offers a variety of poker games. This month’s poker room promotions include daily High Hand Giveaways where players have the chance to win up to $600 in chips and Pro Football Playoff Hot Seat Drawings where players could win up to $599 in chips during designated NFL playoff games.

Monday Poker Tournaments – On Mondays on January 9, 23, and 30 Rivers will be holding a no-limit hold ‘em tournament with a $10,000 guaranteed prize pool and re-entries. Tournaments begin at 6:45 p.m., with registration starting at 3:45 p.m. if playing in a cash game, and 4:45 p.m. otherwise. Tournament fee is $200 for 15,000 in tournament chips, and any player that purchases their entry before 5:45 p.m. will receive an extra 2,500 chips. Players will also earn 500 bonus chips for each hour played up to three hours and another 1,000 bonus chips for the fourth hour, for a maximum of 2,500 extra chips. Players may also re-enter as a new player until the beginning of level 7. All fees apply for re-entry.

Lunar New Year Rush Rewards Card – From Sunday, January 22 until Sunday, February 5, Rush Rewards members can pick up a special edition Lunar New Year/Year of the Rabbit Rush Rewards Card. Limit one-time redemption per guest. Offer available while supplies last.

Royal Flush Bonus – Throughout 2023, any guest who hits a Royal Flush while actively playing with their Rush Rewards card in a video poker machine at Van Slyck’s will win an additional $500 Slot Play! A minimum bet of $5 is required to be eligible and slot play is valid for 24 hours.

Young at Heart Wednesdays – Every Wednesday, Rush Rewards members ages 55 and older can print a voucher at a promotional kiosk for a free regular coffee or fountain drink at Flipt, Villa Italia or Johnny’s To Go between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.; guests can participate in the Konami True Time Slot Tournament between Noon and 5 p.m. where the top 10 scores will win cash prizes; and on the second Wednesday of this month, enjoy live music at Van Slyck’s from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Rush Rewards New Member Promotion – Any guest who signs up for Rush Rewards and earns 5 points on the same day as their sign-up will unlock a mini-game on a slot machine for a chance to win up to 10,000 bonus points. Valid for new Rush Rewards members only.

There is no cost to join Rush Rewards, and members earn points for their slot play and table game play by inserting their card into the slot machine or presenting it to table games dealers before starting the game. The more points earned, the more reward benefits members will receive.

Entertainment

Van Slyck’s - Guests can dance the night away with LIVE bands and DJs at Van Slyck’s bar every Friday and Saturday night. Country Nights at Van Slyck’s – Country music nights are back again at Van Slyck’s in January when fans will be treated to two fun-filled nights with live bands and a DJ. Local favorites Tompkins Drive will hit the stage on Friday, January 13 and Whiskey Highway will entertain guests on Saturday, January 14. CMA winner and local radio personality Kevin Richards will keep the music going between sets on all three nights. Bands start at 8 p.m. and finish at midnight.

Cage Wars 55 - Following a series of prior sold-out competitions, Cage Wars mixed martial arts returns to the Rivers Casino Event Center on Friday, January 20, 2023. Cage Wars 55, sponsored by Sticker Mule, features local and regional amateur MMA fighters squaring off in the octagon to determine the Cage Wars 55 champion. Fight fans can expect another night of intense and exciting matchups. Tickets on sale at CageWarsMMA.com and start at $56 plus fees. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the fights begin at 7 p.m.

Lunar New Year Lion Dance – On Sunday, January 22 at 5 p.m. guests can celebrate the Lunar New Year with a traditional lion dance. The dance will start in the valet lobby and end on the casino floor where guests may also receive lucky $2 bills. A cherry blossom tree will also be on display in the valet lobby. 

Rivers Sportsbook

The popular Rivers Sportsbook is open for guests to place bets and catch the action on all major sporting events including the NFL, NBA and NHL. Self-betting kiosks are open 24/7. Manned betting windows are open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. until midnight, and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until midnight. 

UFC 283 Pay-Per-View – On Saturday, January 21, guests will be able to enjoy the UFC 283 Pay-Per-View featuring Glover Teixeira vs. Jamahal Hill and bet on all the action LIVE at the Rivers Sportsbook. Main card scheduled to begin at 10 p.m.

Food and Beverage

Dukes Chophouse is open with dinner available Sunday through Thursday from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m.

Dukes Bar is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until midnight and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 a.m.

Flipt, the casino’s burger and sandwich restaurant, is open daily with breakfast served from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. and regular menu from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m.

Mian, the casino’s fast casual Asian dining restaurant, is open from 4 p.m. until 2 a.m daily.

Johnny’s To Go, the casino’s pizza, pasta, and specialty sandwich outlet, is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 3 a.m.

Villa Italia is open Sunday through Thursday from 6 a.m. until 2 a.m. and 24 hours on Friday and Saturday.

Van Slyck’s bar is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 4 a.m.
