ABOUT RIVERS GIVES
Rivers Casino and Rush Street Gaming have a longstanding history of supporting the communities in which we operate. We have branded this ongoing initiative as ‘Rivers Gives.’
The key pillars of Rivers Gives are volunteerism, board service, donation drives, in-kind contributions and corporate giving.
Through Rivers Gives, each Rivers Casino annually contributes approximately 2,000 volunteer hours per property to local nonprofit partners. Across their operating markets, Rivers Casino and Rush Street Gaming annually contribute approximately $14 million to local nonprofit partners and various community groups.
Pinktober
The Rivers Community actively participated in fundraising efforts during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, also known as Pinktober, to help fight against breast cancer. We are grateful for the overwhelming support of our guests and team members who helped raise $20,167.00 for the American Cancer Society.
Walk to End Alzheimer's and Other Community Events
At Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady, we value the importance of community partnerships – and that means we want to be present at your event and build a relationship with your organization and your supporters. We are proud supporters and participants at The Alzheimer's Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer's, a terrific community event that provides care, support and advocacy to those affected by Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
We can also be seen at other fundraising walks and runs, including The Schenectady Firefighters Cancer Foundation’s Run 4 Your Life 5K, Autism Society’s Hero Run, the Animal Protective Foundation’s Woofstock, PRIDE Month celebrations, Spina Bifida Association of NYS’ Walk & Roll, the Special Olympics Drive for Inclusion, YWCA’s Take Back the Night Walk and so much more!
Supporting Food Sustainability
We donated $23,488 worth of food to essential workers and several local charitable organizations and provided financial support to help our community partners that feed the most in need in our community, including the Capital Region Food Bank, The Food Pantries of the Capital District and Concerned for the Hungry.
