What is Cajun Stud

Cajun Stud is a table game that is the same as Mississippi Stud except with the side bets. In Cajun stud, a five-card player hand is revealed gradually. At three decision points along the way, the player may either raise his Ante bet by one to three times or fold.

The main game is the same as Mississippi Stud except 3rd Street, 4th Street, and 5th Street are replaced with "Raise" wagers. All limits, payouts, and procedures are the same. See Mississippi Stud Rules.

There are three optional side bets; Board Bonus, Pocket Bonus, and Lo Ball. These bets can be placed in any combination and all require an Ante in order to play. Each has a minimum of $1 , a maximum of $25, and players can bet any amount in between.

Bets are paid/taken in the following order:

1.      Board Bonus

2.      Pocket Bonus

3.      Lo Ball

4.      Main Bets

Board Bonus

Pertains to the three community cards just like the 3 Card Bonus in Mississippi Stud. Payouts are the same with one exception:

A Royal Flush (Ace-King-Queen suited) pays 50 to 1 on the Board Bonus as opposed to only paying 40 to 1 in Mississippi Stud, where this is considered a regular straight flush.

Pocket Bonus

Pertains to the two cards dealt to the player (their pocket cards). If those two cards contain a pair or an Ace with a Face Card (King, Queen, or Jack) the player wins.

Payouts:

Pocket Rockets (Pair of Aces) - 25 to 1

Ace-Face Suited  - 20 to 1

Ace-Face Unsuited - 10 to 1

Pair (other than Aces) - 5 to 1

Lo Ball

Pertains to the player's 5-card hand. If the player's 5-card hand is less than a pair and their highest card is a Jack or lower, the player wins. Note: Aces are always high.

Payouts:

7 High - 100 to 1

8 High - 50 to 1

9 High - 15 to 1

10 High - 5 to 1

Jack High - 1 to 1
