Stay, Eat & Drink Pink in Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady

Schenectady, NY (September 30, 2021) – In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady will be offering guests PINKTOBER food and drink specials to benefit the  American Cancer Society.

Special PINKTOBER offers include Pink Cupcakes made by Villa Italia and the Pink Berry Martini Cocktail at Dukes Bar, Van Slyck’s and The Landing Bar. Partial proceeds from each sale will be donated to the American Cancer Society. The Landing Hotel will also be donating 10% from each PINKTOBER retail rate booked during the month of October to the American Cancer Society.

Other highlights include a chance to win CASH prizes during Rivers Cash from the Crypt promotion, an unforgettable evening for wine and food lovers during the SOLD-OUT Dukes Chophouse Sip & Savor Wine Pairing Event, the inaugural Dead Man’s Hand Tattoo Expo, an exciting night of rock with Great White, Slaughter and Kip Winger, the Fury vs. Wilder III Pay-Per-View and LIVE music at Van Slyck’s Bar, Dukes Chophouse and the Landing Hotel.

Rivers Casino’s current daily hours of operation are from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. Downtime is being used for intensive property-wide deep cleaning in addition to the continuous sanitizing taking place  throughout each day. Masks are optional for fully vaccinated guests. Guests who are not vaccinated, or only partially vaccinated, from COVID-19 must continue to wear a mask.

Gaming

Poker Room - Rivers Casino’s poker room is now open. The poker room is the last of the casino’s major gaming amenities to be reopened since the casino opened back up in September of 2020. It joins the casino’s gaming floor, with slots and live table games, and the Rivers Sportsbook, in offering guests a complete gaming entertainment experience. The Rivers Casino poker room includes 16 tables and offers a variety of poker games. The poker room’s daily hours of operation are from 10 a.m. until 2 a.m.  

Cash from the Crypt - Throughout the month, Rush Rewards members will have a chance to win up $5,000 CASH during the Cash from the Crypt promotion. Rush Rewards guests will earn 1 entry for every 25 points on eligible slot and video poker machines, and 2 entries for every 25 points earned on table games from September 25-October 29. Each Friday in October at 8 p.m. 3 guests will be selected to choose a “coffin” which will reveal a mini-game to play for a chance to win a cash prize! Entries must be activated each Friday between 5 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. to be eligible for that day’s drawing and guests must be present to win. 

Young at Heart Mondays - Every Monday in 2021, Rush Rewards members ages 55 and older can participate in a True Time Slot Tournament between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. where the Top 10 high scorers each week will win a share of $1,375 in cash. Guests can also print a voucher at a promotional kiosk for a free regular coffee or fountain drink at Flipt or Villa Italia between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. and book a Sunday or Monday night stay at The Landing Hotel for just $55, based on availability and exclusions.

Rush Rewards New Member Promotion - Throughout 2021, any guest who signs up for Rush Rewards and earns 5 points on the same day as their sign-up will unlock a mini-game on a slot machine for a chance to win up to 10,000 bonus points. Valid for new Rush Rewards members only.  

There is no cost to join Rush Rewards, and members earn points for their slot play and table game play by inserting their card into the slot machine or presenting it to table games dealers before starting the game. The more points earned, the more reward benefits members will receive. These include free play, food offers, entries into promotional drawings, discounted room rates, personalized casino host services and more.

Dead Man’s Hand Tattoo Expo - It’s sure to be an unforgettable weekend during the inaugural Dead Man’s Hand Tattoo Expo at the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center from Friday, October 22 through Sunday, October 24. Guests can get “inked” and hang out with over 150 of the top tattoo artists in the country for three days of tattooing, piercing, seminars, competitions, and networking. In addition to showcasing jaw-dropping art from the tattoo industry’s best talent, the fun-filled weekend also includes LIVE music headlined by regional favorites The Erotics, a Halloween costume party featuring DJ Ketchup, the crowning of the first Miss Alternative New York and more. Great White & Slaughter with special guest Kip Winger - Rock fans will be pumping their fists, singing along, and breaking out their air guitars when Great White, Slaughter, and Kip Winger hit the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center stage on Saturday, October 30. Cage Wars 49 - A night of high-energy, intense mixed martial arts action is returning to the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center on Saturday, November 20. Cage Wars 49, sponsored by Sticker Mule, will feature both local and regional amateur MMA fighters squaring off in the octagon to determine the Cage Wars 49 champion. Kickin’ it Country Night - Country music fans will be dancin’ and partyin’ on Wednesday, November 24 (Thanksgiving Eve) during Kickin’ it Country Night at the Rivers Casino Event Center. Rivers Sportsbook

The popular Rivers Sportsbook is open for guests to place bets on all major sporting events including pro and college football. Self-betting kiosks are open during the casino’s regular hours from 6 a.m. until 2 a.m. daily. Manned betting windows are open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. until midnight, Friday from 10 a.m. until 1 a.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 a.m, and Sunday from 9 a.m. until midnight. 

Wager to Win: Football Edition - Rush Rewards guests who make one (1) pro football sportsbook wager for $50 or more at the Rivers Sportsbook using the Rivers Bet Slip Builder will receive an entry for a chance to win an autographed football jersey and Sportsbook Prize Pack. Drawings will be held Thursdays at 7 p.m. throughout football season (excluding Thursday, November 25, 2021). The $50 minimum wager must be placed via Bet Slip Builder QR Code at a writer window during regular hours of operation and drawing tickets must be dropped into the entry drum by 6:45 p.m. each Thursday to be eligible. Fury vs. Wilder III Pay-Per-View - On Saturday, October 9, guests will be able to enjoy the Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder heavyweight championship fight and bet on all the action LIVE in the Rivers Sportsbook.

Food and Beverage

Dukes Chophouse is open with dinner available Sunday through Thursday from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. Dukes Bar is open for beverage service every day from 11 a.m. until midnight.  

Flipt, the casino’s burger and sandwich restaurant, is open with breakfast served daily from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. and regular menu from 10:30 a.m. until 2 a.m.

Mian, the casino’s fast casual Asian dining restaurant, is open Sunday through Thursday from 4 p.m. until midnight, and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. until 2 a.m.

Johnny’s To Go, the casino’s pizza, pasta, and specialty sandwich outlet, is open daily from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m.

Villa Italia is open daily from 6 a.m. until 2 a.m.
