Salute Our Military and Celebrate Mother’s Day and Cinco de Mayo at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady in May

Schenectady, NY (April 29, 2021) – Win big, celebrate Mother’s Day and Cinco de Mayo, and enjoy delicious food & drink specials, exciting giveaways, promotions, and special room rates at The Landing Hotel all month long at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady.

This month’s offerings include special Military Appreciation Month discounts for active duty military and veterans, food and drink specials for Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s Day, and LIVE music at Dukes Chophouse every Friday and Saturday night!

The casino’s current daily hours of operation are from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. with downtime being used for intensive property-wide deep cleaning in addition to the continuous sanitizing taking place throughout the day. Guests are required to wear face coverings (masks), follow social distancing guidelines, and have their temperature taken before entry.

Gaming Floor

The Rivers “Sure Bet Sanitized” Team continues to work around the clock to keep the casino safe and sanitized. In addition to slots throughout the gaming floor, guests are able to play on all of the casino’s table games including craps and roulette. Plexiglass barriers separating slot machines, players, and dealers have been installed for safety, and guests will be required to sanitize their hands before and after play. The casino’s poker room has been converted into a gaming lounge.

Great American Prize Spin-Off – Throughout the month Rush Rewards members will have a chance to win up to $5,000 in cash during the Great American Prize Spin-Off!  Rush Rewards guests will earn 1 entry for every 20 points on eligible slot and video poker machines, and 2 entries for every 20 points earned on table games. Each Friday at 8 p.m. 5 guests will be selected to spin the wheel for a chance to win up to $5,000 cash. Entries must be activated each Friday between 4 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. to be eligible for that day’s drawing and guests must be present to win. 

3x Point Multiplier Days: Rush Rewards members can visit a promotional kiosk and swipe their card between 12 a.m and 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, May 13 and Thursday, May 27 to activate a 3x Point Multiplier! 

Young at Heart Mondays – Every Monday in 2021, Rush Rewards members ages 55 and older can participate in a True Time Slot Tournament between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. where the Top 10 high scorers will win a share of $1,375 in cash. Guests can also print a voucher at a promotional kiosk for a free regular coffee or fountain drink at Flipt or Villa Italia between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. and book a Sunday or Monday night stay at The Landing Hotel for just $55, based on availability and exclusions.

Rush Rewards New Member Promotion – Throughout 2021, any guest who signs up for Rush Rewards and earns 5 points on the same day as their sign-up will unlock a mini-game on a slot machine for a chance to win up to 10,000 bonus points. Valid for new Rush Rewards members only.  

There is no cost to join Rush Rewards, and members earn points for their slot play and table game play by inserting their card into the slot machine or presenting it to table games dealers before starting the game. The more points earned, the more reward benefits members will receive. These include free play, food offers, entries into promotional drawings, discounted room rates, personalized casino host services and more. 

Events

Electric City Classic 2021 – Rivers Casino & Resort will again host the Electric City Classic, a single-elimination Madden NFL eSports tournament. The best EA Sports Madden NFL 21 video game players will be squaring-off in the virtual gridiron finals for cash and prizes at Van Slyck’s, next to the Rivers Sportsbook, on Saturday, May 15 from 2 p.m until 6 p.m. Local in-person registration, for a chance to earn the last spot in the live finals, will start at 11 a.m. on the day of the event. Former Cincinnati Bengals Linebacker and Penn State Captain, Brandon Bell and the voice of Madden Football and sportscaster, Larry Ridley, will be in the booth for play-by-play action from Rivers Casino as they broadcast live online on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook. Rivers Sportsbook

The popular Rivers Sportsbook is open for guests to place bets on all major sporting events. Self-betting kiosks are open during the casino’s regular hours from 6 a.m. until 2 a.m. daily. Manned betting windows are open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. until midnight, Friday from 10 a.m. until 1 a.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 a.m, and Sunday from 10 a.m. until midnight. 

Wager to Win: Hockey Edition – Starting May 31, Rush Rewards guests who make one (1) pro hockey sportsbook wager for $25 or more at the Rivers Sportsbook using the Rivers Bet Slip Builder will receive an entry for a chance to win a hockey jersey and Sportsbook Prize Pack.  Drawings will be held every Wednesday at 4 p.m. in June and July. Winners will be posted at the Rush Rewards Center by 5 p.m. each drawing day and winners will have 48 hours to claim their prize. At 12 p.m. on the day after the Championship final game a Grand Prize winner will be selected to receive a hockey jersey, Sportsbook Prize Pack, and a $100 StubHub gift card. Food and Beverage

Dukes Chophouse is open with dinner available Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. Dukes Chophouse will also have LIVE music every Friday and Saturday night from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m! Dukes Bar is open for beverage and bar menu service Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. until midnight, and Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. until midnight.

Flipt, the casino’s burger and sandwich restaurant, is open with an enhanced menu, including select favorites from Dukes Chophouse and pizza from Johnny’s To-Go. Breakfast served daily from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. and regular menu from 10:30 a.m. until midnight.

Mian, Rivers Casino’s fast casual Asian dining, is open Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. until midnight, Sunday through Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m., and closed on Wednesday and Thursday.

Villa Italia is open daily from 6 a.m. until midnight. Johnny’s To-Go, and Van Slyck’s are not open at this time.

20% Military Discount on Food & Beverage – Every Wednesday in May in honor of National Military Appreciation Month any guest who presents a valid active duty or veteran military ID will receive a 20% off their total purchase at any Rivers food outlet including Dukes Chophouse, Flipt, Mian and Villa Italia. Cinco de Mayo Taco Special – Celebrate Cinco De Mayo on Wednesday, May 5 with a Dr. Pepper Spiked Street Taco from Flipt for just $2 +tax. Dukes Mother’s Day Brunch – Treat mom to a dining experience she’ll never forget on Mother’s Day at Dukes Chophouse on May 9. The spectacular 4-course menu includes choice of starter, salad, entrée, and dessert. Brunch will be served from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and is $55 per person +tax and gratuity. Dukes Birthday Cake – Throughout 2021 guests that dine at Dukes Chophouse on their birthday will receive a complimentary slice of chocolate cake with the purchase of a dinner entrée. Guests must show proof of birthdate.

Due to COVID-19 safety precautions the Rivers Casino & Resort Event Center remains closed for all live entertainment until further notice. Previously scheduled entertainment and events have been cancelled or postponed.

The Landing Hotel

The Landing Hotel is open 24-7. The Landing Hotel Bar is open Sunday through Thursday from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. until midnight. Happy Hour is 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. daily.  

For guest and Team Member safety, The Landing Hotel implemented Rivers Casino’s “Sure Bet Sanitized” cleaning program, along with other new operating procedures, in order to comply with, or surpass, the state’s COVID-19 protocols. All guests are required to wear face coverings (masks) and have their temperature taken upon entry.
