Rivers Casino Schenectady Donates $9,000 to Caring Together

Schenectady, NY (September 24, 2026) – Rivers Casino Schenectady presented a $9,000 check to Caring Together, a Capital Region nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting women affected by ovarian cancer.

 The donation was raised through the casino's monthly Rivers Gives: Donations Make a Difference fundraiser, in which casino guests donate their chips, uncashed vouchers and cash to support local nonprofit organizations and charitable causes throughout the Capital Region.

 Caring Together provides support, education and advocacy for women with ovarian cancer while also supporting research efforts aimed at finding an early detection test and a cure. The organization offers support for women facing ovarian cancer diagnosis and treatment and their families, promotes ovarian cancer awareness and helps fund research efforts.

“Caring Together provides an important network of support for women and families facing ovarian cancer while also working to increase awareness and advance research,” said Anna Boyd, Vice President of Human Resources at Rivers Casino Schenectady. “We’re grateful to our guests for once again helping us support an organization doing meaningful work right here in the Capital Region through our Donations Make a Difference program.”
