Schenectady, NY (March 1, 2021) – Guests in March can win big, celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and enjoy March Mayhem with delicious food & drink specials, exciting giveaways, promotions, and special room rates at The Landing Hotel.

The casino’s current daily hours of operation are from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. with downtime being used for intensive property-wide deep cleaning in addition to the continuous sanitizing taking place throughout the day. Guests are required to wear face coverings (masks), follow social distancing guidelines, and have their temperature taken before entry.

Gaming Floor

The Rivers “Sure Bet Sanitized” Team continues to work around the clock to keep the casino safe and sanitized. In addition to slots throughout the gaming floor, guests are able to play on all of the casino’s table games including craps and roulette. Plexiglass barriers separating slot machines, players, and dealers have been installed for safety, and guests will be required to sanitize their hands before and after play. The casino’s poker room has been converted into a gaming lounge.

Young at Heart Mondays – Every Monday in 2021, Rush Rewards members ages 55 and older can participate in a True Time Slot Tournament between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. where the Top 10 high scorers will win a share of $1,375 in cash. Guests can also print a voucher at a promotional kiosk for a free regular coffee or fountain drink at Flipt or Villa Italia between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. and book a Sunday night stay at The Landing Hotel for just $55, based on availability and exclusions.

Rush Rewards New Member Promotion – Throughout 2021, any guest who signs up for Rush Rewards and earns 5 points on the same day as their sign-up will unlock a mini-game on a slot machine for a chance to win up to 10,000 bonus points. Valid for new Rush Rewards members only.  

There is no cost to join Rush Rewards, and members earn points for their slot play and table game play by inserting their card into the slot machine or presenting it to table games dealers before starting the game. The more points earned, the more reward benefits members will receive. These include free play, food offers, entries into promotional drawings, discounted room rates, personalized casino host services and more. 

Rivers Sportsbook

The popular Rivers Sportsbook is open for guests to place bets on the NCAA College Basketball Tournament and all other major sporting events. Self-betting kiosks are open during the casino’s regular hours from 6 a.m. until 11 p.m. daily, and manned betting windows are available daily from 7 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. 

March Basketball Tournament Shirt Giveaway – Rush Rewards guests who make one (1) sportsbook wager between $100 and $499 on the NCAA College Basketball Tournament at the Rivers Sportsbook can bring their betslip to the Rush Rewards Center to receive a Rivers Sportsbook T-shirt. Rush Rewards guests who make a wager of over $500 may bring their betslip to the Rush Rewards Center to receive a Rivers Sportsbook polo shirt. Guests must redeem eligible betslips at the Rush Rewards Center between March 18 and April 6 during Rush Rewards Center hours of operation. T-shirt/polo shirt sizes and quantities are limited, and available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Wedding Open House - Couples will be able to see just how amazing their wedding day could be at Rivers Casino during a free Wedding Open House on Saturday, March 6 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Attendees will receive a tour of a beautifully decorated Event Center and its multi-functional space, view hotel rooms and event space at The Landing Hotel, and learn about all the exciting options they have available to celebrate their special day at Rivers Casino. Couples who book their wedding at Rivers Casino by March 20 will also receive a complimentary suite stay at The Landing Hotel on the night of their special day. RSVP’s are required. Food and Beverage

Mian, Johnny’s To-Go, and Van Slyck’s are not open at this time. Flipt, the casino’s burger and sandwich restaurant, is open with an enhanced menu, including select favorites from Dukes Chophouse and pizza from Johnny’s To-Go (breakfast daily from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. and regular menu from 10:30 a.m. until 11 p.m.). Villa Italia is open daily from 6 a.m. until 11 p.m. Dukes Chophouse is open with a limited menu and reduced hours of operation (Dinner available  Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. Dukes Bar is open for beverage and bar menu service Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.)

Due to COVID-19 safety precautions the Rivers Casino & Resort Event Center remains closed and all live entertainment is on hold until further notice. Previously scheduled entertainment and events have been cancelled or postponed.

The Landing Hotel

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and current operating restrictions at Rivers Casino (25-percent max capacity and 11 p.m. closing time), The Landing Hotel will be closed Monday through Thursdays starting February 1, 2021. This will remain in effect until further notice. The Landing Hotel expects to resume full 24-7 operations when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

For guest and Team Member safety, The Landing Hotel implemented Rivers Casino’s “Sure Bet Sanitized” cleaning program, along with other new operating procedures, in order to comply with, or surpass, the state’s COVID-19 protocols. All guests are required to wear face coverings (masks) and have their temperature taken upon entry.
