Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Celebrates the Belmont Stakes at Saratoga All Weekend Long

Schenectady, NY (June 5, 2024) – As official casino partner of Saratoga Race Course and the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival, Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady is offering a spectacular weekend of live entertainment, gaming promotions, and drink specials. This year’s festival, held at Saratoga Race Course for the first time ever, is highlighted by the 156th running of the historic Belmont Stakes on Saturday, June 8.

 Rivers Casino will headline day two of the festival on Friday, June 7 as presenting sponsor of the Grade 1, $750,000 New York stakes race. Reflecting the importance of the race within the four-day festival, the New York Racing Association (NYRA) increased the purse of the New York by $150,000.

 Rivers Casino is also presenting sponsor of The Backyard at the track during the festival. Track goers can visit the activation booth at the Rivers Casino Backyard and spin a wheel to win Rivers branded swag and a special edition booklet with offers valid at all Rush Street Gaming properties.

Belmont Stakes Weekend Highlights at Rivers Casino:

 Belmont Stakes Kick Off Party - Guests are invited to kick off the Belmont Stakes races during a FREE party at Van Slyck’s bar on Friday June 7 from Noon until 3 p.m. Enjoy sampling, branded Belmont swag, and a chance to win two general admission tickets to the Belmont Stakes courtesy of DeCrescente Distributing.

 Belmont Stakes Weekend LIVE Entertainment - Guests can enjoy live music and DJ’s all weekend long. At Van Slyck’s on Friday, June 7 the Lucid Street Band will be on from 9 p.m. until 1 p.m. and on Saturday, June 8, Dashboard Anthem will rock the house. Over at Dukes Chophouse Dan Sherwin will entertain guests both nights from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. On The Landing Hotel patio from 6 pm. Until 9 p.m. Standard Edition will entertain guests on Thursday, followed by DJ Tomb on Friday, and Garland Nelson on Saturday.

 Belmont Stakes Viewing - On Saturday, June 8, guests will be able to watch the 156th running of the Belmont Stakes at the Rivers Sportsbook and make bets on all the action at the Capital District OTB outlet located at Van Slyck’s.

 Belmont Weekend Drink Specials - During Belmont Stakes weekend guests at Van Slyck’s, Dukes Bar or The Landing Hotel Bar can purchase Miller drafts for $5, Miller cans for $6, Modelo Drafts for $7, and White Claw cans for $7.
