Rivers Gives had another amazing year in 2023. In total, Rivers Casino & Resort donated over $258,000 in goods, services and financial donations to more than 60 charitable and community organizations throughout the Capital Region.

Rivers Gives volunteers logged over 1,500 hours of service to local charitable groups throughout the year and our Team Members, along with our generous guests, raised more than $60,000 during our monthly Donations Make a Difference and back-of-house fundraising campaigns.

We also rallied in Pinktober by supporting Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, donated over 300 turkeys to community groups for their holiday meals, and during our Giving Tree program, provided essential items, including clothing and toiletries to at risk youths in the area.

We are all so fortunate to live and work in a community that not only shares our passion for giving, but one that is always there to chip in. We are looking forward to an even better 2024 and continuing our mission to help those in need all while providing the best in gaming and entertainment for our guests.

WE DONATED FOOD

We donated $23,488 worth of food to essential workers and several local charitable organizations.

Our annual Turkey Giveaway resulted in 320 turkeys donated for the holidays.

WE GAVE OUR TIME

Team Members, through Rivers Gives, gave their time - logging a total of 1,572 hours of volunteer service throughout the Capital Region.

WE RALLIED FOR PINKTOBER

Not only did we get out to support Making Strides Against Breast Cancer - our guests and Team Members raised $20,167 to support the American Cancer Society’s Pinktober awareness campaign, supporting breast cancer research and treatment.

WE SHOPPED FOR THE MOST NEEDY DURING THE HOLIDAYS

For many people, the holidays can be a very difficult time. Rivers Casino & Resort helps bring the joy of the holidays to community members who have the greatest need.

Through our Giving Tree program, Team Members purchased essential items (including clothing, diapers, toiletries, and more) totaling over $7,000 to support Safe Inc. of Schenectady - an organization that provides outreach, shelter, counseling and supportive services to homeless youth who are at-risk and may be vulnerable to or have been subjected to sexual exploitation and trafficking.

A CULTURE OF GIVING

We are fortunate to live and work in a community that shares our vision for giving!

Our guests raised $53,305 by participating in our monthly Donations Make a Difference campaign (supporting a different organization each month) by donating chips, vouchers and cash in our donation boxes and ticket redemption machines.

Our Rivers Team Members raised $9,100 from back-of-house charitable fundraisers throughout the year.
