100 guests will win free Rita’s Ice for a year at April 29 ribbon cutting

PHILADELPHIA — April 25, 2022 — Strawberries n’ Cream will be the featured flavor at the Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard shop at Rivers Casino Philadelphia during the location’s special ribbon cutting on Friday, April 29, at 5 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from sales of the flavor will benefit Susan G. Komen®, the breast cancer foundation.

The ribbon cutting will commemorate the opening of Rita’s first casino shop and brings together two of the city’s most recognizable brands. Linda Chadwick, President & CEO of Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard, will join Rivers Casino Philadelphia General Manager Justin Moore for the brief ceremony. Comedian and prankster Ed Bassmaster will also be on hand before his 8 p.m. show in The Event Center.

At the event, the first 100 guests in line will win free Rita’s Ice for a year and have the opportunity to sample the Strawberries n’ Cream Ice flavor. Guests can choose from a variety of other Italian Ice flavors and enjoy their favorite Rita’s treats while at the casino’s shop.

From April 29 through May 31, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Strawberries n’ Cream Ice, which is bursting with real strawberry pieces, will benefit Komen.
