Comedy Star Rickey Smiley to Appear Live at Rivers Casino Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — June 3, 2026 — Comedian, actor, author and nationally syndicated radio host Rickey Smiley will perform live at Rivers Casino Philadelphia on Thursday, Aug. 20, at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $39 and are on sale now.

A beloved entertainer with a career spanning more than three decades, Smiley is known for his stand-up comedy, memorable characters and top-rated radio program, “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show,” which airs on WPPZ-FM (Classix 107.9) in Philadelphia.

Smiley is headed to the Radio Hall of Fame as a member of the 2026 induction class, as recently announced. In 2021, he was named Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year at the prestigious NAB Marconi Radio Awards, one of the broadcasting industry’s highest honors.

Smiley’s latest comedy special, “Fool-ish,” premiered on Hulu in May 2025 and marked his first stand-up special in more than a decade. Filmed in Birmingham, Alabama, at the historic Lyric Theatre, the special draws from recent experiences in Smiley’s life, blending personal storytelling with the humor that has made him a fan favorite nationwide.

In addition to his comedy career, Smiley recently released his memoir, “Sideshow: Living with Loss and Moving Forward with Faith,” through HarperCollins. The book chronicles his journey through grief following the death of his eldest son and explores the impact of addiction, mental health challenges and loss within the Black community and beyond.
