Stay, Eat & Drink Pink In Honor Of Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady

Guests will enjoy PINKTOBER pastries and drinks, along with a special hotel rate at The Landing Hotel throughout the month of October!

Schenectady, NY (September 30, 2020) – In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady will be offering guests PINKTOBER food and drink specials to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Special PINKTOBER offers include Pink Cupcakes made by Villa Italia and only available at Rivers Casino and the Pink Ribbon Cocktail at Dukes Chophouse. Partial proceeds from each sale will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

The Landing Hotel will also be donating 10% from each PINKTOBER rate booked during the month of October to the American Cancer Society.

The casino’s current daily hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. with downtime being used for intensive property-wide deep cleaning in addition to the continuous sanitizing taking place throughout the day. All guests are required to wear face coverings (masks).

Gaming Floor

The Rivers “Sure Bet Sanitized” Team continues to work around the clock to keep the casino safe and sanitized. In addition to slots throughout the gaming floor, guests are able to play on all of the casino’s table games except for craps and roulette. Plexiglass barriers separating slot machines, players, and dealers have been installed for safety, and guests will be required to sanitize their hands before and after play. The casino’s poker room has been converted into a gaming lounge.

Rivers Sportsbook

The popular Rivers Sportsbook is open for guests to place bets on NFL, NBA, MLB games and other major sporting events. Self-betting kiosks are open during the casino’s regular hours from 8 a.m. until 2 a.m. daily, and manned betting windows are available Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until midnight and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 1 a.m. 

Food and Beverage

Mian, Johnny’s To-Go, Villa Italia and Van Slyck’s are not open at this time. Flipt, the casino’s burger and sandwich restaurant, is open with an enhanced menu, including select favorites from Dukes Chophouse and pizza from Johnny’s To-Go. Dukes Chophouse is also open with a limited menu and reduced hours of operation (Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m.).

Pink Cupcakes - For $3.50 guests can enjoy special PINKTOBER cupcakes made by Villa Italia. Made exclusively for Rivers Casino and sold only at Flipt, 50 cents from each cupcake sold will be donated to the American Cancer Society in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Pink Ribbon Cocktails – A special PINKTOBER cocktail will be available at Dukes Chophouse for $10 with $1 from each sold donated to the American Cancer Society in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Football Hot Dog special – During Football season guests will be able to purchase a hot dog for just $1 at The Landing Hotel Bar. Offer available every Thursday and Sunday from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Happy Hour at The Landing Hotel – Guests can purchase a glass of featured wine for $5 every Wednesday through Sunday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at The Landing Hotel Bar.

Entertainment

Due to COVID-19 safety precautions the Rivers Casino & Resort Event Center remains closed and all live entertainment is on hold until further notice. Previously scheduled entertainment and events during the temporary closure of the casino have been postponed until 2021.

The Landing Hotel

The Landing Hotel is open and has implemented Rivers Casino’s “Sure Bet Sanitized” cleaning program, along with other new operating procedures, in order to comply with, or surpass, the state’s COVID-19 protocols.
