Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Security Officers Honored for Saving the Life of Casino Guest

Schenectady, NY (December 3, 2020) – Rivers Casino and Resort Schenectady is proud to announce that two of its Security EMT Officers have been recognized with a Mayoral Proclamation for saving of the life of a guest on November 14, 2020.
Rivers Security EMT’s Melinda (Mindy) Cooper-Killenberger and Kyle Brownell responded to a call of a male guest who had collapsed on the floor. Through their quick action and medical intervention, the officers were able to resuscitate the guest and restore his pulse, and then transfer him to the care of Schenectady Fire Department paramedics.
Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy and Schenectady Fire Chief Ray Senecal presented the two officers with an official Mayoral Proclamation for their heroic and lifesaving work.
“We’re extremely proud of the professionalism, skill, and dedication demonstrated by Officers Cooper-Killenberger and Brownell,” said Rivers Casino & Resort General Manager, Justin Moore. “Both represent how deeply committed our team members are in ensuring our guest’s health, safety and wellbeing. We’re absolutely thrilled to see them recognized by Mayor McCarthy and Chief Senecal for their life-saving efforts.”
