Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Celebrates Thanksgiving and Salutes Our Military Veterans During the Month of November

Schenectady, NY (November 2, 2020) – During November guests at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady will enjoy special food offerings for Thanksgiving, discounts for military veterans, sportsbook prize packages, and seasonal room packages at the Landing Hotel.

The casino’s current daily hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. with downtime being used for intensive property-wide deep cleaning in addition to the continuous sanitizing taking place throughout the day. All guests are required to wear face coverings (masks).

Gaming Floor

The Rivers “Sure Bet Sanitized” Team continues to work around the clock to keep the casino safe and sanitized. In addition to slots throughout the gaming floor, guests are able to play on all of the casino’s table games including craps and roulette. Plexiglass barriers separating slot machines, players, and dealers have been installed for safety, and guests will be required to sanitize their hands before and after play. The casino’s poker room has been converted into a gaming lounge.

Rivers Sportsbook

The popular Rivers Sportsbook is open for guests to place bets on all NFL games and other major sporting events. Self-betting kiosks are open during the casino’s regular hours from 8 a.m. until 2 a.m. daily, and manned betting windows are available Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until midnight and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 1 a.m. 

Wager to Win: Bet Slip Swag Grab – Guests who place a sports wager using the Rivers Bet Slip Builder during November will receive a drawing ticket to enter to win a Sportsbook Prize Package. The Grand Prize winner will receive a tailgating grill package with Rivers Sportsbook swag, and and three runners up will receive a Rivers Sportsbook swag bag with polo shirt, hat, bottle opener and more. Drawing will be held on December 1 at 6 p.m. Bet Slip Builder can be found at RiversBetSlip.com/NY. Wager must be placed via Bet Slip Builder QR code at a sportsbook writer window. Limit one drawing entry per wager. Winner must claim prize within 10 days.

Sportsbook Turkey Game Giveaway – Guests who place one or multiple sports wagers totaling $5000 or more on any Thanksgiving Day game between November 1 and 25 at 6 p.m. will receive a voucher to redeem a complimentary Mallozzi’s Thanksgiving Dinner To-Go on Thursday, November 26. Meal feeds 10 to 12 people and is valued at $249. One complimentary Thanksgiving Dinner To-Go per person, per qualifying wager.

Food and Beverage

Mian, Johnny’s To-Go, and Van Slyck’s are not open at this time. Flipt, the casino’s burger and sandwich restaurant, is open with an enhanced menu, including select favorites from Dukes Chophouse and pizza from Johnny’s To-Go. Villa Italia is open daily from 8 a.m. until midnight.  Dukes Chophouse is also open with a limited menu and reduced hours of operation (Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m.).

The Gobbler at Flipt – During the month of November guests may purchase The Gobbler sandwich made with hand-carved turkey breast, creamy cranberry-mayo, stuffing, and cranberry sauce on ciabatta bread for $12.50. Offer available at Flipt during regular menu hours Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until 1 a.m.

Taco Tuesday – Every Tuesday in November, guests can enjoy a Dr. Pepper Spiked Street Taco at Flipt for just $2. These delicious tacos, made with shredded pork, charred corn, poblano relish, fresh cilantro, queso fresco, and a Dr. Pepper chipotle sauce on top, are available during regular menu hours.

Wing Wednesday – Every Wednesday in November at Flipt guests can purchase wings for just 99 cents each. Must purchase in quantities of six. Available during regular menu hours.

Veterans Day Discount – Veterans who present their military ID on November 11 will receive 15% off their total purchase at Flipt and Dukes Chophouse. Offer not valid on alcohol purchases.

Veterans Day Mega Milkshake – On November 11, guests can enjoy a specialty Mega Milkshake at Flipt in honor of Veterans Day with 50 cents from each purchase to be donated to The Veterans Miracle Center. Veterans with valid military ID will also be able to purchase the Mega Milkshake for half-price ($6.25). Offer available at Flipt during regular menu hours Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until 1 a.m.

Mallozzi’s Thanksgiving Dinner To-Go – Guests can pre-purchase a complete Thanksgiving Day meal that feeds 10 to 12 people for $249 + tax. The meal includes turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green beans, and gravy. As an added bonus, Signature and Preferred level Rush Rewards Guests may use their Rush Rewards points to pre-purchase a dinner. All guests must call 1 (518) 579-8811 between November 1 and November 24 at 6 p.m. to pre-purchase and reserve a pick up time for Thursday, November 26. Pick up will take place at valet parking at Rivers Casino. Offer available to the public and advanced purchase is required. Tax not included. 

Thanksgiving Dinner at Dukes – Guests can enjoy a special Thanksgiving Day dinner at Dukes Chophouse for $59. The prix fixe menu includes a roasted Cornish hen, cranberry stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy and a glass of Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon. Dinner available from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on November 26. Price does not include tax and gratuity. Advance reservations suggested.

Football Hot Dog special – During Football season guests will be able to purchase a hot dog for just $1 at The Landing Hotel Bar. Offer available every Sunday from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Happy Hour at The Landing Hotel – Guests can purchase a glass of featured wine for $5 every Wednesday through Sunday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at The Landing Hotel Bar.

Entertainment

Due to COVID-19 safety precautions the Rivers Casino & Resort Event Center remains closed and all live entertainment is on hold until further notice. Previously scheduled entertainment and events during the temporary closure of the casino have been postponed until 2021.

The Landing Hotel

The Landing Hotel is open and has implemented Rivers Casino’s “Sure Bet Sanitized” cleaning program, along with other new operating procedures in order to comply with, or surpass, the state’s COVID-19 protocols.
