Schenectady, NY (May 2, 2022) – Guests in May can celebrate Mother’s Day and Cinco de Mayo, enjoy delicious food & drink specials, win big with exciting cash giveaways and promotions, and enjoy amazing live music and entertainment.

This month’s highlights include a chance to win CASH during the May Day Pay Day cash giveaway, the debut of Latin Nights at Van Slyck’s, the return of Sunset Sips at The Landing Hotel, Cinco de Mayo specials, a free UFC pay-per-view event at the Rivers Sportsbook, and a spectacular Mother’s Day Brunch at Dukes Chophouse.

Rivers Casino is open 24/7. Masks are optional for fully vaccinated guests. Guests who are not vaccinated, or only partially vaccinated, from COVID-19 must continue to wear a mask.

Gaming

Gaming Floor – The Rivers Casino gaming floor with slots, video poker and more is open 24/7. Full beverage service is available Sunday through Thursday until 2 a.m. and until 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Non-alcoholic beverage service available 24/7.

Table Games – Table games are now available Sunday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 4 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 5 a.m.  

Poker Room - Rivers Casino’s poker room is open daily from 10 a.m. until 2 a.m. The poker room includes 16 tables and offers a variety of poker games. Along with the casino’s gaming floor, the poker room offers our guests a complete gaming entertainment experience.

May Day Pay Day - Every Friday at 8 p.m. in April, 5 Rush Rewards guests who are actively playing with their Rush Reward card at a valid slot or video poker machine will be selected to spin the prize wheel and win up to $2,500 Cash! Guests will then have the chance to double their winnings on the multiplier wheel!

Hot Slots 2X Multiplier – Every Monday through Thursday Rush Rewards members playing with their Rush Rewards cards on selected slot machines will earn 2X the points on those machines. Eligible slot machines will be designated with signage.   

Young at Heart Wednesdays – Every Wednesday, Rush Rewards members ages 55 and older can print a voucher at a promotional kiosk for a free regular coffee or fountain drink at Flipt, Villa Italia or Johnny’s To Go between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.; after earning 55 points guests will have a chance to win a share of $1,375 in Slot Play during Hot Seat Drawings from noon until 6 p.m. (55 guests will win $25 in Slot Play each week); and, on the second and last Wednesday of this month, enjoy live music at Van Slyck’s from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Rush Rewards New Member Promotion – Any guest who signs up for Rush Rewards and earns 5 points on the same day as their sign-up will unlock a mini-game on a slot machine for a chance to win up to 10,000 bonus points. Valid for new Rush Rewards members only.

Rush Rewards New Member Drawings – New Rush Rewards members will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a complimentary one-night stay at The Landing Hotel and their choice of $100 dining, $100 slot play, or $100 match play. Three new Rush Rewards members will be selected to win on the first Monday of each month.

There is no cost to join Rush Rewards, and members earn points for their slot play and table game play by inserting their card into the slot machine or presenting it to table games dealers before starting the game. The more points earned, the more reward benefits members will receive.

Van Slyck’s - Guests can now dance the night away with LIVE bands and DJs at Van Slyck’s bar every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. Bands are on from 8:30 p.m. until midnight on Thursday’s, with DJ’s on from 8 p.m. until midnight. The Landing Hotel – Starting May 6, Sunset Sips is back at The Landing Hotel patio with live music every Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Latin Nights at Van Slyck’s – Every Thursday night, starting May 5th, guests can enjoy live Latin music, DJs, and specialty drinks. $10 drink specials include Cuba Libre with Bacardi, Pepsi, and a line wedge; Margaritas with Patron, Cointreau, fresh lime juice, Simple Syrup, and a lime wedge; and Mojito with Bacardi Reserve Ocho or Captain Morgan, fresh lime juice, Simple Syrup, Sierra Mist, and a Lime Wedge. Bands are on from 8:30 p.m. until midnight, with DJs on from 8 p.m. until midnight.

Country Nights at Van Slyck’s – Country music fans are in for two fun-filled nights in May with  live bands and a DJ. Local favorites Skeeter Creek will hit the stage on Friday, May 6 and Martin & Kelly will entertain guests on Saturday, May 7. CMA winner and local radio personality Kevin Richards will keep the music going between sets on both nights. Guests on May 7 will also have a chance to win two lawn tickets to see the sold-out Morgan Wallen show at SPAC on July 7 courtesy of Wild Country 99.9. Bands start at 9 p.m. and finish at 1 a.m.

Frank Caliendo (Saturday, September 24, 2022) - Comedy’s top impressionist Frank Caliendo will bring his hilarious observations, impressions, and characters to the Rivers Event Center. Described by the Hollywood Reporter as "a combination of Robin Williams and Jim Carrey," Caliendo is known for his high energy and family-friendly act that starts at a frenetic pace and never lets up. Rivers Sportsbook

The popular Rivers Sportsbook is open for guests to place bets on all major sporting events including the NBA playoffs and Major League Baseball. Self-betting kiosks are open 24/7. Manned betting windows are open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. until midnight, Friday from 10 a.m. until 1 a.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 a.m, and Sunday from 9 a.m. until midnight.

Kentucky Derby – On Saturday, May 7th, guests will be able to watch the 148th running of the Kentucky Derby live at the Rivers Sportsbook and make bets on all the action at the Capital District OTB outlet located at Van Slyck’s.

UFC 274 Pay-Per-View – On Saturday, May 7, guests will be able to enjoy the UFC 274 Pay-Per-View featuring Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje and bet on all the action LIVE at the Rivers Sportsbook. Main card scheduled to begin at 10 p.m.

Preakness Stakes - On Saturday, May 21, guests will be able to watch the 147th running of the Preakness Stakes at the Rivers Sportsbook and make bets on all the action at the Capital District OTB outlet located at Van Slyck’s.

Dukes Chophouse is open with dinner available Sunday through Thursday from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m.

Dukes Bar is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until midnight and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 a.m.

Flipt, the casino’s burger and sandwich restaurant, is open daily with breakfast served from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. and regular menu from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m.

Mian, the casino’s fast casual Asian dining restaurant, is now open daily from 4 p.m. until 2 a.m

Johnny’s To Go, the casino’s pizza, pasta, and specialty sandwich outlet, is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 3 a.m.

Villa Italia is open Sunday through Thursday from 6 a.m. until 2 a.m. and 24 hours on Friday and Saturday.
