Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady to Host First-Ever Electric City Poker Series in April

Schenectady, NY (March 2, 2023) – Poker fans are in for a treat when Rivers Casino & Resort hosts its first-ever Electric City Poker Series from Tuesday, April 11 until Sunday, April 23. The Electric City Poker Series includes 11 tournaments in 11 days and will take place in the River Casino Event Center and Poker Room. Every event has a guaranteed prize pool, with $290,000 in total guarantees, and every event champion will be awarded a winner's trophy.

The opening event, from Thursday, April 13 until Sunday, April 16, is the $400 buy-in Mystery Bounty No-Limit Hold 'em with a $75,000 guaranteed prize pool. Every player in this event will have a chance to win up to $10,000 just by knocking someone out of the tournament on Day 2. This will be the first Mystery Bounty tournament to be held in New York state.

The Electric City Poker Series Main Event is an $800 buy-in No-Limit Hold 'em tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $150,000. Mega Satellites will also be available for the 1st and 10th events. Parlay a smaller buy-in into a chance at a bigger payout!

Other events unique to the area are the Rivers Revival and the Uber Stack Turbo. In the Rivers Revival event, any player yet to be eliminated may “Revive” upon their first elimination and get right back in the action with 20 Big Blinds. The Uber Stack Turbo will have everyone start off with 60,000 in tournament chips and play with a faster clock. Also on the schedule are a Ladies Championship and a Seniors Championship for players 55 and above.

Registration for all events will take place at the Rivers Casino Poker Room. Registration for the Mystery Bounty event and the Main Event begins Tuesday, April 11.
