Rivers Casino Donates More Than $20,000 To Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — Nov. 18, 2015 — In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Rivers Casino guests and Team Members have raised more than $20,000 for Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh through a series of gaming promotions, food and beverage specials and other “pink” touches.

The casino’s initiatives began in October, when guests participated in Pull for the Cure Slot Tournaments. Rivers donated $5 to Komen Pittsburgh for each guest who played in the Pull for the Cure Slot Tournament. On Oct. 6 and 13, guests that donated $10 to Komen Pittsburgh received $10 Free Slot Play. Additionally, all funds generated from Rivers’ Pittsburgh Proud collection – an opportunity for guests to donate extra slot vouchers and chips on their way out the door – went to Komen Pittsburgh. 

“Year after year, our Team Members and guests have demonstrated their admiration for the ongoing efforts of Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh,” said Rahmon Hart, director of community relations at Rivers Casino. “We are proud to make this contribution that will have a direct impact on our community.”

On Saturday, Oct. 24, Rivers Casino hosted the annual “Tickled Pink” brunch to honor survivors of breast cancer with Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh. Attendees were treated to a special meal and heartfelt presentations from guests.
