Rivers Casino Announces Winners Of The Cookie Table Recipe Contest

Twelve lucky bakers are featured in the 2018 Rivers Casino Cookie Table Calendar

PITTSBURGH — Dec. 7, 2017 — Pittsburgh’s casino announced today the winning bakers from the first-ever Rivers Casino Cookie Table Recipe Contest. The winners are featured in the 2018 Rivers Casino Cookie Table Calendar.

With nearly 200 delicious recipes received, Rivers Casino recruited food experts from local culinary institutions, including Pittsburgh Technical College, Community College of Allegheny County, Art Institute of Pittsburgh and Manchester Bidwell to evaluate the recipes, along with chefs from the casino. The variety of delectable confections from home bakers throughout Pittsburgh and the surrounding counties was simply amazing. Scoring was based on creativity, ingredients, instructions, photos of the cookies—and of course taste.

The finalists were honored in October at a celebratory luncheon at Grand View Buffet. All were awarded a $250 Andrew’s Steak & Seafood gift card and $500 Free Slot Play. They will each also receive 10 copies of the calendar to share with family and friends.

On Thursday, Dec. 7, qualifying members of the Rush Rewards Players Club can receive a complimentary copy of the 2018 Rivers Casino Cookie Table Calendar. Membership in the Rivers Casino Rush Rewards program is free. The calendar includes removeable recipe cards for the featured cookies.
