Poker Celebrities Return To Rivers Casino For ‘Poker Night In America’

Jennifer Tilly, Matt Glantz and Others to Compete in High-stakes Cash Game at Close of Pittsburgh Poker Open

PITTSBURGH – March 23, 2016 - Poker celebrities will compete, once again, at Pittsburgh’s Casino for Poker Night in America (PNIA.) A nationally-televised cable and web series featured on CBS Sports Network, live recording of PNIA will take place April 2—4 in the Rivers Casino poker room.

The high-stakes cash games will begin with two days of play, April 2—3, from noon—8 p.m., and conclude with the final five players dueling for the win on April 4 at 1 p.m. PNIA has recorded episodes at casinos across the country and puts a distinct spotlight on the game and its players.

Poker stars expected to attend include:

  • Jennifer Tilly – A star on the silver screen, with a gold bracelet from a 2005 World Series of Poker event as well as the 2005 World Poker Tour Ladies Invitational Tournament title, Tilly is one of the most popular and recognizable faces on the circuit.
  • Matt Glantz – Glantz has taken in more than $6 million in career earnings and six major tournament titles. He also recently started working with Rush Street Gaming as a resource for developing its growing poker brand.
  • Maria Ho – Celebrity host and commentator on The Final Table, presented by Rush Street Productions, Ho has had a seat at three World Series of Poker final tables and has achieved more than $2.6 million in poker earnings.
  • Shaun Deeb – A three-time champ of the World Championship of Online Poker, Deeb has cashed in the World Series of Poker 17 times.
  • Matt Brady – Brady is a Pennsylvania native with six career titles, including the 2008 Aruba Poker Classic.
  • Alec Torelli – Also known as Moniker Traheho, Torelli is an extremely versatile, multi-table tournament player with more than $1.5 million in winnings.
  • Jack Schanbacher – Pittsburgh’s own Schanbacher has been making a name for himself on the circuit with three career titles and more than $1.4 million in poker earnings.

“It’s terrific having the stars of the poker circuit right here at Rivers,” said Craig Clark, general manager of Rivers Casino. “It’s great fun for our guests to have an up-close-and-personal experience with the fierce competition during the Main Event.”

Pittsburgh Poker Open Returns

Local poker players will also have a chance to go head-to-head with the pros by outperforming the competition in the Pittsburgh Poker Open (PPO), happening now. Qualifying players will earn a seat at the Main Event against Tilly, Glantz and others. Buy-ins start at $30 for events during the PPO and winnings are expected to exceed $300,000.
