PORTSMOUTH, Va. – April 16, 2026 – “Well, we’re all in the mood for a melody…”—and this summer, Turnstiles: A Tribute to Billy Joel brings that unmistakable sound and energy to Rivers Casino Portsmouth. The band will take the stage at The Event Center on Friday, July 17, at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $19 and will be available at RiversCasino.com.

Delivering a high-energy, note-for-note celebration of Billy Joel’s legendary catalog, Turnstiles recreates the experience of a live Billy Joel concert with precision and passion. From chart-topping hits like “Piano Man,” “Uptown Girl,” and “Scenes from an Italian Restaurant” to deeper cuts beloved by longtime fans, the performance spans decades of timeless music that continues to resonate across generations.

In 2024, Turnstiles made history as the first tribute band to ever perform at Madison Square Garden, opening for Vampire Weekend at the world’s most famous arena. The milestone solidified the group’s national reputation and proved that a tribute band, when done at the highest level, can stand on the biggest stages in music.

For more than a decade, Turnstiles has been bringing the music of Billy Joel to life on stages across America and beyond. What began as a passionate labor of love has grown into one of the most respected and in-demand Billy Joel tribute acts in the world. 

Earlier this year, during a sold-out performance in Wellington, Florida, Turnstiles experienced a once-in-a-lifetime moment when Billy Joel himself walked into the venue, joined the band on stage, and performed publicly for the first time since his final Madison Square Garden residency show.
