“SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE” SENSATION, JAY PHAROAH, BRINGS UNFORGETTABLE COMEDY SHOW  TO RIVERS CASINO PORTSMOUTH

PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Jan. 17, 2025 – Jay Pharoah will take the stage at Rivers Casino Portsmouth for an unforgettable stand-up comedy show on Saturday, March 29, at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $29 and are on sale now at RiversCasino.com/Portsmouth.

Jay Pharoah, a Hampton Roads native known for his spot-on impressions and versatile performances, has solidified himself as one of the industry’s most highly anticipated leading men. With a career spanning film, television, and live performances, Pharaoh has captivated audiences with his dynamic humor and versatile acting.

Pharoah gained widespread acclaim during his six-season tenure on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” where his uncanny impressions of celebrities like Denzel Washington and Barack Obama became legendary. On the big screen, he starred in the biopic “Spinning Gold” as Cecil Homes, the right-hand man of 1970s record producer Neil Bogart who co-founded Casablanca Records, and in the Toronto International Film Festival triumph, “The Blackening.” 

Other recent credits include Netflix’s “Resort to Love” with Christina Milian, Lionsgate thriller “Private Property,” Comedy Central’s “Out of Office” alongside Ken Jeong, and Showtime’s “White Famous”— executive produced by Academy Award-winner Jaime Foxx and inspired by Foxx’s real-life experiences. On the small screen, Jay Pharoah starred in ABC’s Emmy Award-winning live studio audience version of “All in the Family” and “Good Times.” He also hosted Nickelodeon’s hit game show “Unfiltered.”

In addition, Pharoah is a proud supporter of the arts and provides scholarships for fine arts students through his nonprofit, the Pharoah Phamily Phoundation. Rivers Casino Portsmouth hosted the organization’s inaugural “Phall Ball” fundraiser last September.
