PORTSMOUTH, Va. — April 1, 2024 – Rivers Casino Portsmouth is springing forward with an exciting lineup of events. From legendary live performances to an evening of comedy to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for entrepreneurs to pitch Shark Tank—The Event Center is buzzing with fun and entertainment. PLUS, guests can take advantage of enhanced offerings, such as new restaurant specials, round-the-clock Poker Room access, gaming floor promotions featuring a brand-new Nissan Ariya giveaway, and more!

New Dining Offerings, Expanded Hours

You asked.  We listened. In response to valuable feedback from casino guests, Rivers Casino has expanded operating hours. 

Round-the-Clock Poker Action: We’re all in! The Poker Room will transition to a 24/7 operation beginning Friday, April 5.

Throughout the month of April, Rivers Casino Portsmouth will also offer dining specials at Slice, Mian, and Crossings Café. Take advantage of BOGO Tax Day promos at Crossings Café, and weekly specials including the Crossings Burger, Slice’s Meatball Sub, and Mian’s Crab Fried Rice.

National Entertainment at The Event Center

ABC-TV’s Shark Tank – First Casting Call in Virginia! – Rivers Casino, in collaboration with 13 News Now, will host Virginia’s first-ever casting call for the four-time Emmy Award-winning ABC-TV series “Shark Tank” at The Event Center — Friday, April 12, starting at 9 a.m. Contestants will have an opportunity to pitch their ideas to the Casting Team as part of Season 16’s nationwide search to discover the next batch of entrepreneurs, inventors, creators, and innovators who dream of facing the Sharks. Applications are available online at ABC.com and onsite. Guests and prospective contestants can also sink their teeth into special shark-themed menu items and restaurant promotions throughout the casino.

POP 2000 Tour – Hosted by Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC, this throwback performance to the early 2000s will feature platinum-selling artists O-Town, BBMak, Ryan Cabrera, and LFO. The POP 2000 Tour will take place at The Event Center on Friday, June 21, at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale now, starting at $19, and may be purchased at RiversCasino.com. Guests must be 21+.

The Sound Bar – SEAMLESS Takes Center Stage as New House Band

Rivers Casino Portsmouth has selected SEAMLESS as house band for The Sound Bar. The SEAMLESS full 10-piece band or trio will now play every weekend — alternating on Fridays and Saturdays. Additionally, the duo will perform twice a month during “Jazz Nights at Admiral’s.”

Visit The Sound Bar to hear the best local bands and DJs in Virginia perform on Fridays and Saturdays, at 9 p.m.

“Rivers Gives” in Hampton Roads

In celebration of Earth Day, Rivers Casino Portsmouth will support several organizations and causes focused on environmental improvement. Through Rivers Gives, casino Team Members will contribute volunteer hours to landscaping efforts for the Boys and Girls Club, a city-wide Portsmouth cleanup, and projects with the Hoffler Creek Wildlife Preserve.

Rivers Casino will also support and contribute to the Portsmouth Schools Foundation — the casino's April charity partner. Casino guests will have an opportunity to join this philanthropic effort by donating chips, vouchers, and cash on the gaming floor.
