Funnyman Eddie Griffin has built a devoted fan base since emerging on the comedy scene in 1990 and is recognized as one of the Top 100 Greatest Stand-up Comedians of All Time. He gained rave reviews for several specials, including appearances on “Def Comedy Jam” (1992), the Cable ACE Award-nominated HBO special “One Night Stand” (1992), and HBO’s “Voodoo Child” (1997). He is also widely known for his acclaimed stand-up special “Dysfunktional Family” (2003), which he starred in, wrote, and executive-produced. The film’s soundtrack features music from iconic artists Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Tupac.

A versatile performer, Griffin has appeared in more than 50 films. He is best known for his role as Anton Jackson in “Undercover Brother” and as the pastor in the Academy Award-winning “A Star Is Born” (2018), where he starred opposite Dave Chappelle, Lady Gaga, and Bradley Cooper. His film credits also include “The Last Boy Scout,” “Armageddon,” and “John Q” alongside Denzel Washington, earning him recognition as a respected dramatic actor.

Griffin’s success in film led to his own hit comedy series, “Malcolm & Eddie” (1996), for which he earned a 2000 NAACP Image Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. A seasoned stand-up veteran, he has performed regularly in Las Vegas, holding residencies at some of the city’s top venues.
