RIVERS CASINO PITTSBURGH PARTNERS WITH
COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY TO OFFER DEALER SCHOOL
Training begins Thursday, Nov. 12; Deadline for submission is Sunday, Nov. 1

PITTSBURGH — Oct. 26, 2020 — Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is continuing its partnership with Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) to provide training sessions for job seekers looking to be part-time dealers. This year’s six-week program begins on Thursday, Nov. 12, at CCAC’s Allegheny Campus, and the deadline to apply is Sunday, Nov. 1. Applicants who graduate from the program will receive a job offer from Rivers Casino Pittsburgh.

For individuals interested in working in the fast-paced gaming industry, Rivers Casino offers applicants the chance to learn to deal various table games including Blackjack, 3 and 4 card poker, Let It Ride, Mississippi Stud and Big 6 Wheel. To encourage social distancing, space is limited. Applicants must be 18 years old and not currently employed by Rivers Casino Pittsburgh or any Rush Street Gaming property. Employees currently on furlough through Rivers Casino Pittsburgh are welcome to apply.

"The program at CCAC does an outstanding job of preparing candidates to work as dealers at Rivers Casino. We’re grateful for the chance to offer students who successfully complete dealer training classes a new career opportunity in the gaming industry and can’t wait to get some new Team Members on board," said Michael Higgins, vice president of human resources at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh.

Rivers Casino offers part-time dealers benefits including paid time off, paid breaks throughout each shift, up to two earned personal days per year, paid holidays throughout the year, and participation in the 401(k) plan with a generous company match. Candidates must be able to work shifts, weekends and holidays.

Interested dealer school participants can learn more details and apply online at RiversCasino.com/Pittsburgh/Careers. Applications submitted after Nov. 1 will be considered for future classes. The next class will be in January 2021.

Those selected will work at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, which meets or exceeds all health and safety procedures outlined by the City of Pittsburgh as well as the COVID-19 Casino Reopening Protocols announced by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. These protocols help ensure the well-being of all Team Members and guests.
