PHILADELPHIA — Oct. 1, 2021 — Get ready for an action-packed October on Delaware Ave. JOBtober Fair kicks off the month with Rivers looking for its next great hires on Tuesday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m. Meanwhile, join local celebrity hairstylist Martino Cartier and Paula Abdul when they host the annual heartwarming Wigs & Wishes gala in The Event Center Saturday, Oct. 23, at 5 p.m. These are just a few of the many happenings this month at Rivers Casino Philadelphia.

JOBtober Fair

JOBtober Fair is taking job seeking — and hiring — to the next level this fall, with a seasonal twist. Rivers Casino Philadelphia is looking for its next great hires on Tuesday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m. In addition to on-the-spot interviews, event attendees will be entered into a drawing to win two Flyers tickets to the season opener on Friday, Oct. 15. Candidates can also experience a taste of autumn when celebrity chef Andrew Pearce ("Hell’s Kitchen", season 16) will demonstrate how to make pumpkin risotto, the new fall menu item at Hugo’s Frog Bar & Chop House (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.).

Wigs & Wishes Gala

Rivers Casino Philadelphia is hosting the annual Wigs & Wishes gala on Saturday, Oct. 23, at 5 p.m. in The Event Center. The annual gala hosted by founder Martino Cartier and Paula Abdul will include hors d'oeuvres, a performance by Latin pop/rock artist Frankie Zulferino, ice sculptures, fireworks, and more — all while supporting Wigs & Wishes' mission to provide over 25,000 wigs to women at no cost and grant wishes to children battling cancer. Norman Brown and Euge Groove — Enjoy the smooth and soulful sounds of Grammy-winning guitarist Norman Brown and chart-topping saxophonist Euge Groove when they take The Event Center stage on Friday, Oct. 22, at 8 p.m.; tickets are $35.

Comedians Eleanor Kerrigan and Jimmy Shubert — Rivers Casino Philadelphia’s Comedy Series continues when Philly natives Eleanor Kerrigan and Jimmy Shubert bring their captivating stand-up performances to The Event Center on Thursday, Oct. 21, starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for $20 and can be purchased at RiversCasino.com/Philadelphia or at NightOut.com.

Rock Bands Great White and Slaughter — Get ready to rock when Grammy-nominated hard rock band Great White and chart-topping glam metal group Slaughter take The Event Center stage on Friday, Oct. 29, at 8 p.m.; tickets are $30.

Hugo’s Frog Bar & Chop House — Open Wednesday through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Hugo's offers guests enticing steaks and more, including live piano music every Friday and Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m.

• Pink Lady Martini — In October, Hugo’s is offering guests the Pink Lady Martini for Breast Cancer Awareness month. All drink proceeds will be donated to breast cancer awareness.

October Jackpot Sweepstakes — Every day in October, any guest who hits a taxable jackpot of $1,200 or higher will earn one entry into the October Jackpot Sweepstakes. On Sunday, Oct. 31, at 6 and 8 p.m., five winners will be randomly be selected to win $1,000 in cash.

Cash Is King Drawing — Now through Saturday, Oct. 30, all Rush Rewards Members who earn 50 Tier Points will earn one entry into the Cash Is King drawing, and 10x entries each Tuesday in October.
