Dave Koz & Friends Bring 'Summer Horns Tour' To Rivers Casino Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — July 26, 2021 — Acclaimed saxophonist Dave Koz is bringing the high-octane Summer Horns tour to Rivers Casino Philadelphia on Friday, Sept. 17, at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, July 30, and start at $49.

Koz will be joined by jazz/soul/gospel saxophonist Kirk Whalum, jazz/blues saxophonist Mindi Abair, and multi-instrumentalist Vincent Ingala.

"We’re excited to bring the amazing Dave Koz & Friends show to Rivers this September," said Justin Moore, general manager at Rivers Casino Philadelphia. "This is just one of the many jazz acts coming to The Event Center this year, and we’re eager for guests to experience a legendary performance."

Koz’s standout career includes nine Grammy nominations, 12 No. 1 albums, performances for multiple U.S. presidents and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Summer Horns tour will include music from Koz’s 20th album, "A New Day," released in 2020, plus material from 2013’s "Dave Koz and Friends Summer Horns" and 2018’s "Summer Horns II From A To Z."

The concert will also feature songs from the catalogs of Whalum, Abair, and Ingala.

"It’s an amazing feeling to finally be returning to the concert stage after being gone so long, especially with this group of extremely talented friends," said Koz, whose career spans three decades. "We are so ready to get out there and perform this brand-new Summer Horns show for fans all over the country who are so hungry for that indescribable energy that is live music.
