CHRIS BOTTI & ENGELBERT HUMPERDINCK TO PERFORM AT RIVERS CASINO PHILADELPHIA
Two music icons take The Event Center stage on back-to-back weekends in May

PHILADELPHIA — Feb. 10, 2022 — Upcoming entertainment at Rivers Casino Philadelphia remains lively with what’s to come — Chris Botti and Engelbert Humperdinck are prepared to transcend audiences with separate performances this May.

On back-to-back weekends, guests can see the largest-selling American instrumental artist, Chris Botti, on Saturday, May 7, followed by Engelbert Humperdinck, four-time Grammy nominee and Golden Globe winner, the following Saturday, May 14.

The recently added performers join the Rivers’ springtime entertainment lineup announced earlier this year, which includes: Gary Allan (3/25), Rick Braun and Richard Elliot (3/26), and Taylor Dayne and All-4-One (4/16).

"Hosting legendary artists like Chris Botti and Engelbert Humperdinck is such an honor," said Justin Moore, general manager of Rivers Casino Philadelphia. "Guests can expect to be moved by expressive instrumentals and iconic ballads in The Event Center this May."

Chris Botti – Saturday, May 7, at 8 p.m.
Contemporary instrumental artist; tickets start at $45.

Since the release of his 2004 critically acclaimed CD "When I Fall In Love," Chris Botti has become the largest-selling American instrumental artist. His success has crossed over to various audiences, and his ongoing association with PBS has led to four No. 1 jazz albums, gold and platinum sellers, and Grammy Awards.

Over the past three decades, Botti has recorded and performed with the best in music, including Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga, Josh Groban, Michael Bublé, Andrea Bocelli and even Frank Sinatra. The trumpeter also has performed with many of the finest symphonies and in the world’s most prestigious venues, from Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl to the Sydney Opera House and the Real Teatro di San Carlo in Italy.

Botti has thoroughly established himself as one of the most important, innovative figures of the contemporary music world. Performing worldwide and selling more than 4 million albums, he has found a form of creative expression that begins in jazz and expands beyond the limits of any single genre.

Engelbert Humperdinck – Saturday, May 14, at 8 p.m.
British pop singer; tickets start at $45.

In a career spanning more than 50 years, Humperdinck has generated sales of more than 140 million records, including 64 gold and 35 platinum albums. He has recorded everything from the most romantic ballads to movie theme songs — disco, rock and even gospel.

Humperdinck exploded onto the music scene with The Beatles and the Rolling Stones. He became great friends with Elvis, and the two legends often performed each other’s songs. His first single on the charts was "Release Me," which was featured in the "Guinness Book of Records" for achieving 56 consecutive weeks on the charts. To date, he has four Grammy nominations, a Golden Globe, and stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Las Vegas Walk of Fame and Leicester Walk of Fame.

Humperdinck’s music has transcended time, and his voice continues to reach people, which is no doubt the essence of his long-lasting success. However, it’s not just the voice but also the man himself. With his endearing sense of humor and self-deprecating jokes, Engelbert has managed to strike a new chord with a younger generation. Guests of all ages can expect to be embraced in a powerful performance by this music icon.

Chris Botti and Engelbert Humperdinck are part of the upcoming entertainment in The Event Center, which is scheduled as follows:
