Music legends take The Event Center stage on Oct. 10
PHILADELPHIA — June 10, 2025 — Two powerhouse voices, one unforgettable night. Rivers Casino Philadelphia welcomes Peabo Bryson and Ruben Studdard to The Event Center on Friday, Oct. 10, at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and start at $49.
Bryson, known for timeless ballads and Disney classics, is a legendary artist and two-time Grammy winner whose career spans decades. Studdard rose to fame as the Season Two winner of “American Idol” and continues to impress audiences with his smooth vocals and soulful performances.
“Peabo Bryson and Ruben Studdard are two of the most recognizable and romantic voices in R&B,” said Shannon Redmond, vice president of marketing at Rivers Casino Philadelphia. “We’re thrilled to bring this incredible double bill to The Event Center for a night of music that fans won’t forget.”
Peabo Bryson: A Voice That Defines Romance and Soul
Bryson is perhaps best known for two grammy-winning songs he performed in Disney animated films. The first was “Beauty and the Beast,” a duet with international pop singer Celine Dion. The second was “A Whole New World” from “Aladdin,” which he performed with Regina Belle.
Bryson’s smooth, soulful vocals have captivated audiences for decades. His first successful duet was “Tonight I Celebrate My Love” with Roberta Flack in 1983. Over the years, he has performed with fellow music icons such as Natalie Cole, Melissa Manchester, Chaka Khan and Kenny G.
Ruben Studdard: A Career of Smooth Vocals and Hit Records
Since winning “American Idol,” Ruben Studdard has released seven studio albums, including his platinum-selling debut, “Soulful,” and the top-selling gospel follow-up, “I Need an Angel.” He is best known for his recording career, which has produced hits such as “Flying Without Wings,” “Sorry 2004” and “Change Me.”
Studdard continues to create and perform, and his new album, “The Way I Remember It,” has already charted two singles. He’s also hit the road with The Masterpiece Tour, featuring his biggest hits, tributes to his musical idols and selections from the new album.
