 JEFFREY OSBORNE TO PERFORM AT RIVERS CASINO PHILADELPHIA

Four-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter coming to The Event Center in June

 PHILADELPHIA — March 7, 2022 — The multitalented singer, lyricist, and former drummer and lead singer of popular funk soul group L.T.D. Jeffrey Osborne will perform at Rivers Casino Philadelphia on Friday, June 3, at 8 p.m. With a lifelong career that includes five gold and platinum albums, Osborne’ lifelong career has continued to gather audiences, who are mesmerized by his rich voice. Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 11, at 10 a.m. and start at $39.

 Osborne began his professional singing career in 1969 with Love Men Ltd. After the band moved to Los Angeles and changed its name to L.T.D., Osborne became lead vocalist. With more than a decade with the band behind him, he decided to branch out into a solo career. Making this change landed him multiple Top 40 hits, such as “Don’t You Get So Mad” and “Stay With Me Tonight.”  

“Hosting a versatile icon like Jeffrey Osborne is a treat for us,” said Justin Moore, general manager of Rivers Casino Philadelphia. “Guests will enjoy a performance from this Grammy-nominated soul superstar.”

Through the launch of his solo career, Osborne was able to secure five gold and platinum albums and four Grammy nominations. He also recorded an album of duets with popular singer James Ingram, scoring an international hit with “On the Wings of Love.” During the 2000s and 2010s, many of his releases featured other notable artists, including Rick Braun, Chaka Khan and the late-great George Duke, who helped Osborne produce and arrange Osborne’s albums.
