New Year’s Eve Eighties Rewind At Rivers Casino Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — Nov. 10, 2022 — Turn back the clock to the 1980s at Rivers Casino Philadelphia before heading into 2023. The New Year’s weekend starts with two ’80s-themed concerts on Friday, Dec. 30, and is highlighted by the Awesome ’80s Party on Saturday, Dec. 31.

Darth Vader, Duran Duran and a DeLorean replica from “Back to the Future” are just a few of the iconic sights and sounds that will transport guests to a time when leg warmers and fanny packs were all the rage. The casino will hand out neon-colored party hats and jelly bracelets, plus there will be plenty of photo ops with the likes of Michael Jackson and Madonna impersonators.

“If you loved the ’80s, you’ll love Rivers Casino this New Year’s Eve,” said Justin Moore, general manager of Rivers Casino Philadelphia. “It’ll be an ’80s Comic-Con inspired celebration, a weekend-long party filled with awesome music and fantastic views of fireworks over the Delaware River.”

Start the holiday weekend with Morris Day and The Time, stars of the movie “Purple Rain,” as they take the stage with their hits “Jungle Love” and “What Time Is It?”

Saturday, Dec. 31

Ring in the New Year with a three-hour open bar, and a buffet including taco and nacho stations, cheesesteaks, pasta stations and more. Live music will feature The Spazmatics, the ultimate ’80s tribute band.

Guests can also reserve their spot on The Event Center patio for a midnight champagne toast and a spectacular view of the fireworks over the Delaware River.
