Three players saw a flop of K♦9♦5♥ and a short-stacked Mike Piazza moved all-in for 19,000. David McConachie raised to 50,000 and Kawal Singh called.
The turn was the 3♣ and McConachie led out with a bet of 70,000. Singh raised to 250,000 sending McConachie deep into the tank. “I think you have set of fives I’m going to fold,” said McConachie as he slid his hand into the muck.
“You were ahead,” said Singh turning over Q♥10♣ for just a gutshot straight draw and Piazza showed K♣7♠ for top pair.
The J♦ hit the river and Singh spiked his four outers improving to a straight to send Piazza to the rail.
