Main Event Winner
Our Main Event is over! When the 5th place finisher was knocked out, the players started to talk about a chop again. They looked over the numbers and found out that an equal 4-way chop would pay $30,905. Matt Pierce had the most chips, and said he would agree to the equal chop if he was given the title of the Electric City Main Event Champion. The other players agreed, and the chop was finalized! Matt took the trophy and the title, as well as his score of $30,905.
He did not cash out with the most money however, as our only double bag of the Main Event, Vito Masi, also was made it to the chop. After being short stacked when the tournament was playing with 11 players and tripling up, he made it all the way to the final table and ends up with his share of the chop money. Including his double-bag bonus, he won the most money of the day, leaving with $33,905!
Andrew Nagy and Jason Bernacki were the other two players involved in the chop. They took home their share of the winnings, a great score of $30,905.
The Main Event was a huge success, so thank you to all of our players and staff for contributing to this wonderful event!
More winners of Electric City Series events will be posted in the coming days, so look out here for more stories from the Electric City Series!
