First title fight in series history headlines; tickets now on sale

PITTSBURGH — June 12, 2017 — Rivers Casino, in association with Made Men Promotions, presents an action-packed night of live championship professional boxing in “Rivers Rumble VI.” The action takes place in the award-winning casino’s picturesque amphitheater on Saturday, June 24, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and the first bout beginning at 7 p.m.

In the Main Event, Pittsburgh’s own Bill “Hutch” Hutchinson will challenge Robbie “The Peashooter” Cannon of St. Louis in the UBF Lightweight Championship. Undefeated since moving down to the lightweight division, Hutchinson earned his title shot after a TKO victory over Eric Hall in April. Cannon, who has shared the ring with several elite contenders, such as Omar Figueroa Jr. and Mason Menard, is coming off of a dominant victory of his own over DeWayne Wisdom.

“Boxing fans and casino guests always enjoy Rivers Rumble Boxing,” said Craig Clark, general manager of Rivers Casino. “What a fun way to spend a summer night, outside watching fight-of-the-year level boxing events along the river.”

In the co-feature, Pittsburgh native Justin “The Hawk” Steave, who has scored four consecutive highlight reel knockouts in the squared circle and knockdowns in five straight bouts, will put his undefeated record on the line against upset-minded Panamanian Roque Zapata. Zapata, who has yet to go down in his career, is coming off two straight upset wins over top Philadelphia contenders in the City of Brotherly Love.

Tri-state area boxing fans will enjoy bouts featuring rising Pittsburgh super lightweight prospect Matt “Sweet Child” Conway and many more up-and-coming fighters looking to make their way to the top. In a western Pennsylvania bragging rights match, local favorites Mark Daley and Eric “The Gentleman” Palmer will duke it out. Additional fights include heavyweight Michael “Bad Dream” Ream and more to be announced.

Tickets are now available for Rivers Rumble VI and can be purchased at or the Rivers Casino Gift Shop.
