Dannielle Cisneros Awarded the 2017 In-House Counsel Award of General Excellence
PITTSBURGH – May 17, 2017 – Dannielle Cisneros, senior counsel to Rivers Casino was awarded the Pittsburgh Business Times’ 2017 In-House Counsel Award of General Excellence for her outstanding role as the casino’s in-house legal counsel. Cisneros will be honored at the official award presentation today at the Westin Convention Center.
In collaboration with the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel, the Pittsburgh Business Times established the 2017 In-House Counsel Awards to recognize the impact that in-house counsel has on the success of a business enterprise. The award program acknowledges the accomplishments of leading in-house attorneys and/or departments within the western Pennsylvania business community. Cisneros is one of five in-house attorney honorees to be presented with the General Excellence award in the program’s inaugural year.
As the only attorney on property, Cisneros works directly with the executive team, department leaders and front line Team Members to develop workplace policies and practices to both support business objectives and limit the risk of legal liabilities. By working directly with Rivers’ Team Members, Cisneros has developed a strong understanding of each department and is able to address employment or gaming compliance issues with the utmost professionalism and care.
“We are so proud of the great work that Dannielle has done for Rivers Casino over the years,” said Craig Clark, general manager of Rivers Casino. “She is an integral member of our team. Dannielle is a person who my team and I rely on every day. Dannielle is a really great attorney and professional who deserves to be honored with this award based on her knowledge, work ethic and 'get it done' attitude.”
An alumna of Carnegie Mellon University, where she was an Andrew Carnegie Society Presidential Scholar, and a graduate of Duke University’s School of Law, Cisneros joined the Rivers Casino team in 2010 as senior counsel and has since ensured that Rivers’ interests are protected in all legal matters. Her role has positively impacted corporate transactions, vendor contracts, labor and employment policies and strategic business planning to name a few.
“I am honored to be acknowledged by the Pittsburgh Business Times with this award,” said Dannielle Cisneros, senior counsel at Rivers Casino. “To be included in this group of exceptional professionals, is truly an honor; one for which I am very thankful to have received.”
