RIVERS CASINO PITTSBURGH’S “RIVERS GIVES” TEAM
VOLUNTEERS AT THE WOODLANDS

PITTSBURGH — Aug. 16, 2021 — Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is always ready to give back — “Rivers Gives” Team Members will spend Tuesday, Aug. 17, at The Woodlands, volunteering their time doing landscaping work around the Wexford property. The community service day will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Woodlands is where children and adults with disabilities and chronic illnesses find the freedom and empowerment to experience programs that enrich lives. Fully accessible and barrier-free facilities open new doors to safe, inclusive and engaging opportunities for participants. The staff is committed to facilitating social, cultural, environmental, recreational, and spiritual growth through hands-on experiences.

“The Woodlands has always been a staple of our community,” said Rahmon Hart, director of community relations at Rivers Casino. “They offer all different types of folks a world of resources. We’re happy to show up on the 17th and help beautify the property.”

This is the fourth day of service at The Woodlands by the Rivers Gives team in recent years. Last month, Rivers Gives volunteers also worked with Hosanna House landscaping a green space used for community-based summer programming.

"Having the Rivers Gives volunteers here from Rivers Casino means the world to us—they have always been ready to lend a helping hand,” said Mikayla DiCesare, special events and corporate relations coordinator at The Woodlands. “Dr. Rahmon Hart leads a great team, and we are grateful for any landscaping help we can get.”
