RIVERS CASINO PITTSBURGH’S “RIVERS GIVES” TEAM
SPENDS VOLUNTEER HOURS AT CENTER FOR VICTIMS

PITTSBURGH — Oct. 22, 2021 — Rivers Casino Pittsburgh continues to give back to the community each month—“Rivers Gives” volunteers will spend Tuesday, Oct. 26, putting together care packages and instructional materials at Center for Victims, the victim service agency on East Carson Street. The service day will take place from 9 a.m. to noon.

Center for Victims (CV) is the most comprehensive and inclusive provider of services, advocacy and education for victims and witnesses of all crimes in Allegheny County and in Pennsylvania. CV’s crucial services assist women, children and men who have been victimized by any type of crime. It serves as a complete crime victim and witness assistance center, domestic violence emergency shelter, rape crisis/sexual assault center, housing and counseling center, community crisis response team and professional development training, and education and advocacy center.

“Our Rivers Gives volunteers are looking forward to spending the day at Center for Victims,” said Rahmon Hart, director of community relations at Rivers Casino. “The care and service they provide for our community is truly unmatched. We want to thank them by volunteering our time with them.”

This is the sixth day of service at Center for Victims by the Rivers Gives team in recent years. Last month, Rivers Gives volunteers also worked with The Woodlands doing summer landscaping around the Wexford property.

"At Center for Victims, we pride ourselves on offering inclusive services for any and all victims,” said Danielle Grooms, development manager at Center for Victims. “Dr. Hart and the Rivers Gives volunteers spending the day with us means the world—we truly appreciate any help they are able to offer.”
