Legendary hip-hop icons of the 90’s hit The Event Center in May

PITTSBURGH — Feb. 13, 2020 — 90’s House Party featuring Vanilla Ice, Coolio, Rob Base and C+C Music Factory’s Freedom Williams, brings back the nostalgia with classics of the decade like “Ice Ice Baby,” “Gangsta’s Paradise,” “It Takes Two” and “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)” to The Event Center at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh on Friday, May 8, at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $59.

With 25 million albums sold worldwide and over 160 million individual songs still selling, Vanilla Ice exploded onto the rap and pop scene with his hit “Ice Ice Baby.” Since then, the Grammy-nominated rapper has released seven albums, won two MTV Awards and, a People’s Choice Award and has acted in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle,” “That’s My Boy” and “Cool As Ice,” to name a few. 

Grammy award-winning and multi-platinum artist, Coolio, took over the rap scene with “Gangsta’s Paradise,” which sold over six million copies worldwide. With over 20 million records sold and a collection of American Music Awards, MTV Awards, Billboard Music Awards and six Grammy nominations, Coolio’s music has been featured in popular films such as “Space Jam” and “Clueless,” while he has starred in reality TV shows of his own like “Coolio’s Rules” and “Cooking with Coolio.”

From performing with various groups such as Sure Shot Seven, Cosmic 3 MC’s, Freedom Force, Disco Enforcers and with DJ EZ Rock, Rob Base is a one-of-a-kind hip-hop artist who has performed around the world for decades. Base and DJ EZ Rock launched into international stardom with the debut of their certified platinum album, “It Takes Two,” which produced a string of three top 10 hits – “It Takes Two,” Get On The Dance Floor” and “Joy and Pain.” Base also released a successful solo album called “The Incredible Base” that included hit songs like “Turn It Out (Go Base) and “Get Up and Have a Good Time.”

Freedom Williams, known for his commanding rap style and as the front-man, emcee and co-founder of the multi-platinum selling C+C Music Factory, collected a total of 35 music industry awards including five American Music Awards, two MTV Awards and several Grammy nominations. Williams rapped on the group’s hugely popular party tracks of “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)” “Here We Go (Lets Rock & Roll) and “Things That Make You Go Hmmm…” Williams also released his solo debut album “Freedom,” which features the Billboard Top 100 tracks “Voice of Freedom” and “Groove Your Mind.”
