Rivers Casino Pittsburgh Hosts 'Poker Night In America'
Television show features former NHL and NFL stars four times in May
PITTSBURGH — May 13, 2019 — “Poker Night in America” (PNIA) is raising the stakes on late night TV with their new show, “Celebrity Home Game.” Filmed at Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, “Poker Night in America Celebrity Home Game” will feature former NFL and NHL stars, including Stanley Cup Champions Kevin Stevens and Max Talbot, and Super Bowl MVP Mark Rypien.
PNIA brings its lights, cameras and action to the Rivers Poker Room on May 14, 16, 20 and 23 for sports-oriented theme nights. All tapings are open to the public.
“Poker Night is known for putting interesting players together and this is no exception,” said Rivers Casino General Manager Bill Keena. “Pro athletes are some of the most competitive poker players out there which will make for some fun games.”
The action gets underway each date at 6 p.m. and will be recorded to air on CBS Sports Network. The initial lineups are as follows:
Tuesday, May 14 – NFL Night
- Jonathan Vilma – Pro Bowl linebacker, Super Bowl Champion (Saints, 2009)
- Roman Harper – Pro Bowl safety, Super Bowl Champion (Saints, 2009)
- Rob Ninkovich – Super Bowl Champion linebacker (Patriots, 2014 & 2016)
- Ross Ventrone – Steelers and Patriots safety (2010-2016)
- Trevor Scott – Raiders, Patriots, Buccaneers and Bears defensive end (2008-14)
Thursday, May 16 – NHL “Enforcer” Night
- Mathew Barnaby – 1999-2001 Penguins player (14-year NHL career)
- Arron Asham – 2010-2012 Penguins player (15-year NHL career)
- Zenon Konopka – 9 year NHL career with 7 teams, including the N.Y. Islanders
- Frankie Leroux – 1988 1st round pick, Edmonton (Penguins player 1994-97)
- Brad May – Stanley Cup Champion, Anaheim 2007 (18-year NHL career)
Monday, May 20 – Pittsburgh Penguins Night
- 1991 & 1992 Stanley Cup Champions:
- Kevin Stevens – most playoff goals (17) in 1991
- Bryan Trottier – 6-time Stanley Cup Champion
- Phil Bourque – current Penguins broadcaster

Thursday, May 23 – NFL Night #2, Mark Rypien and Friends
