Rivers Casino Pittsburgh Announces Winners Of The 2018 Cookie Table Recipe Contest
2019 Rivers Casino Cookie Table Calendar will feature 12 lucky bakers
PITTSBURGH — Oct. 19, 2018 — Pittsburgh’s casino announced today the winning bakers from the Second Annual Rivers Casino Cookie Table Recipe Contest. The 12 winners will be featured in the 2019 Rivers Casino Cookie Table Calendar.
The Wedding Services Team at Rivers sponsors this unique contest, in recognition of Pittsburgh’s famous “cookie table” wedding tradition.
With so many delicious recipes received, Rivers Casino recruited food experts from local culinary institutions, including Pittsburgh Technical College, Art Institute of Pittsburgh and Manchester Bidwell Corporation, along with chefs from the casino, to taste test each finalists’ cookies. The variety of delectable confections made for a tough decision for the judges. Scoring was based on appearance, clarity of instructions, creativity, taste and cookie table “wow” factor.
All finalists were recently honored with a celebratory luncheon at Rivers Casino’s Grand View Buffet. Each baker brought two dozen of their best batches and a guest to enjoy the fun-filled day. They will each receive 10 copies of the 2019 calendar to share with family and friends and winners will receive $100 Free Slot Play.
