PITTSBURGH — Oct. 2, 2017 — Come celebrate Columbus Day Weekend and National Pierogi Day with Rivers Casino — the Guinness World Record holder for the world’s largest pierogi. Pittsburgh’s premier entertainment destination on the North Shore, offers guests a full lineup of live entertainment and events to kickoff the fall season including concerts, a craft beer fest, the Live Band Karaoke finals and more beginning Thursday, Oct. 5 and running through Sunday, Oct. 8.
Y108 Girls with Guitars – Thursday, Oct. 5, doors open at 6 p.m. and show begins at 7:30 p.m.
Presented in the Rivers Casino amphitheater in collaboration with Y108, this year’s concert features amazing country music performances by RaeLynn and Dannielle Bradbery, who earned fame on “The Voice.” Carly Pearce, who made her debut on Big Machine Records earlier this year, will also perform for fans. Be sure to catch this amazing concert that benefits Pittsburgh’s Glimmer of Hope foundation. The only way to get tickets for this concert is to win them through Y108 or Rivers Casino’s Facebook page.
Live Band Karaoke Finals – Thursday, Oct. 5, 7 p.m.
Come cheer on your favorites along with BOB FM’s Steve Rohan as he emcees the Live Band Karaoke finals at Wheelhouse.
Rivers Brew Craft Beer Fest – Saturday, Oct. 7, 2-6 p.m.
Join us for craft beer tastings, live entertainment, giant retro Pac-Man and Battleship arcade games, along with wonderful bites to eat sold by some of the most popular food trucks from around the city. Be sure to enjoy the craft brew tastings from Pennsylvania breweries, as well as nationally known brands including Sierra Nevada, Sam Adams, Laguanitas and others. Access to food trucks and live entertainment is free. Black and Gold Endzone – Sunday, Oct. 8, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Don’t miss the hometown professional football team pre-game celebration! Join Rivers Casino and CBS Radio for the game day tailgating fun and excitement before the Black and Gold hosts Jacksonville. Festivities include live music, food trucks, great prizes and more. The Black and Gold Endzone starts three hours before each home game and is free to the public.
National Pierogi Day – Sunday, Oct. 8, 3-5 p.m.
Celebrate this special day honoring one of our favorite foods at Rivers Casino, the Guinness World Record holder for the largest pierogi, weighing 55.79 kilograms. Enjoy live Polka music by the Dick Tady Orchestra, appearances from favorite Pittsburgh Pirates Pierogies and delicious pierogi tastings.
