Rivers Casino Closes Out 2015 with New Events and Promotions

PITTSBURGH – November 30, 2015 – Say goodbye to 2015 and hello to 2016 at Rivers Casino! Check out this month’s gaming promotions, dining specials and live entertainment.

Gaming Promotions

Holiday Heist – On Wednesdays in December, Rush Rewards members will have a chance to win $10,000 cash, among other cash prizes and Free Slot Play. Five winners will be selected to pick a gift from under the tree every other hour from noon until 8 p.m. Players can earn one entry for every 25 base points.

New Year’s Eve Cash and Porsche Drawing – On New Year’s Eve, Rush Rewards members who earned entries between July and December will be eligible to win cash, Free Slot Play or the grand prize of a Porsche Cayenne. Drawings will take place at 11 p.m. on Dec. 31, when you can win your share of $25,000 cash, and at 1 a.m. on Jan. 1, when the top prize Porsche Cayenne will be given away. Players must check in between 8 p.m.—12:59 a.m.

Walk-Up Slot Tournaments – On Tuesdays in December, guests who earn 100 same-day base points are eligible to play in one of two slot tournaments. Tournaments will take place from 11 a.m.—2 p.m. and 6—9 p.m. Earn 200 points and play in both tournaments. First prize is $1,000 cash. Players who place between second place and 20th will receive $100 Free Slot Play.

Pittsburgh Penguins® Lucky 7’s – When the Penguins shoot, players score! For each second period regular season home game that the Penguins score, fans 21 years of age and older who attended the game can redeem that game’s ticket for $7 Free Slot Play for each goal scored. Guests have two days after the game to redeem at the Rush Rewards club.

Pittsburgh Penguins® $777 Progressive Jackpot – For each second period goal scored by the Pittsburgh Penguins during every regular season home game, Rivers Casino will add $777 into a grand prize progressive cash jackpot. To be eligible to win, fans must attend a Penguins home game and attend a drawing at Rivers Casino. (Must be a Rush Rewards Players Club member to participate.)

$250K Hometown First Down – Each Tuesday throughout football season, Rush Rewards members can participate in a free football kiosk game from 6 a.m.—11:59 p.m. to have a chance at winning a top prize of $7,000 cash. Based on how many first downs our home team has during each game, guests can also swipe at any kiosk to earn seven times the number of entries for the finale drawing. The finale drawing will take place at the end of football season, Jan. 23, where 100 winners will receive prizes, including a top prize of $100,000 cash. Each new Rush Rewards member will automatically receive 100 entries into the finale drawing.

Extreme Wild & Crazy Cash Drawings – On Tuesday, Dec. 29, guests who earned entries from June—November will have a chance to win their share of more than $70,000 cash and Free Slot Play. Drawings will take place at 2:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Entries can be activated from noon until 2:14 p.m. for the 2:15 p.m. drawing and from 5—7:14 p.m. for the finale drawing at 7:15. Top prize for the 7:15 drawing is $24,000 cash.

Gift Giveaways – Throughout December, invited guests and players who earn 1,250 same-day base points are eligible to pick up a gift. Receive a 20-piece Pfaltzgraff flatware set on Dec. 6; a $15 Giant Eagle gift card on Dec. 13; a double-decker food carrier on Dec. 17; and a 90” x 90” fleece blanket on Dec. 27. Guests must visit kiosks between 6 a.m.—8 p.m. to reserve their gifts. Gifts are available for pick-up from 10 a.m.—8 p.m. (While supplies last.)

Pick a Gift Giveaway – On Thursday, Dec. 3, invited guests and Rush Rewards players who earn 1,250 same-day base points are eligible to receive a free gift for last minute holiday presents. Gifts are available for pick-up from 10 a.m.—8 p.m. (While supplies last.)

December Birthday Celebrations – Happy Birthday to you! Any guests who visit the Rush Rewards Player Club on his or her birthday will receive a free coupon to visit Grand View Buffet.

$10 for $10 – On Dec. 8 and 9, guests who visit Rivers between noon and 8 p.m. have the option to donate $10 cash to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to receive $10 Free Slot Play.

Pittsburgh Proud – All month long, guests can donate their extra slot vouchers and table chips to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. The Pittsburgh Proud donation box is located between the two elevators that lead to the parking garage.

Table Games

Learn to Play – Join in from 1—2 p.m. every day to learn a new game. Guests can learn to play craps and blackjack. Rush Rewards members will receive two $5 match play coupons. (Match play coupons can be picked up at the Rush Rewards Players Club. Vouchers can only be redeemed once for each game learned throughout 2015.)

Hot Shooters – Hot Shooters is Rivers’ exciting craps promotion. Every day, the top five “hot shooters” will win match play and cash prizes.

• First Place: $100 match play and $100 cash
• Second Place: $50 match play and $50 cash 
• Third Place: $25 match play and $25 cash 
• Fourth Place: $10 match play and $10 cash
• Fifth Place: $10 match play and $10 cash

Football Party Pit – On Thursdays in December from 6 p.m.—2 a.m., hot seat drawings will be held every 30 minutes to receive great prizes. The Party Pit features roulette, as well as $5 craps and blackjack. (The Party Pit will be closed on Dec. 24 and 31.)

Poker Room

Holiday Cash Tree – Every other hour from noon—10 p.m. Monday through Friday in December, Rush Rewards members playing at live qualifying cash tables will be selected via hot seat for a chance to win a cash prize of up to $1,000.

New Year’s Eve Hot Seats – Starting at 8 p.m. on Dec. 31 and extending into the new year at 2 a.m., one guest each hour playing at live qualifying cash games will be randomly selected to receive $500 cash. The lucky guest selected during the final drawing at 2 a.m. will take home $5,000 cash.

$20K Game Day Quarter Cash Promotion – On Dec. 6, 13, 20 and 27, guests playing at live, qualifying cash games will be eligible to win $250 cash during each quarter of the Steelers’ game.

Throwback Thursday New Year’s Eve – Ring in the New Year at Rivers Casino on Thursday, Dec. 31 with a rockin’ throwback-themed celebration, hosted by Q92.9’s Jim Krenn of “Jim Krenn and the Q Morning Show.” Tickets can be purchased for $50 at riverscasino.com.
