Fall fun is at Rivers Casino this month with brand-new events and promotions

PITTSBURGH — Sept. 29, 2017 — Step into “scary” territory this October with all-new events and promotions at Rivers Casino. The North Shore’s premier destination for gaming brings great entertainment this month including the casino’s first-ever Rivers Brew Craft Beer Fest on Saturday, Oct. 7.

Gift Giveaways

Penguins Shoot for $1 Million — Penguins fans who attend a home game can redeem their game ticket at the Players Club for a chance to qualify for a shot to win $1 million. Tickets may be redeemed from 8 a.m. the following day through 72 hours after the start of the game. Guests can play a kiosk game for a chance to qualify for the finale drawing on Saturday, April 14, among other prizes. You can also qualify for the finale drawing on April 14; two drawings per month will be held. October dates include Thursday, Oct. 12 and Saturday, Oct. 14, where ten winners will be called at 2, 4 and 8 p.m. for a total of 30 winners each day. Each winner will compete for their chance to win the top prize of $5,000 cash on Thursday and $10,000 cash on Saturday. Lucky guests who qualify will have a chance to win $1 million in April 2018.  

Touchdown Tuesdays — All Rush Rewards members can earn entries into the qualifying drawings each Tuesday in October for a chance to participate in the finale drawings on Saturday, Oct. 28.  For every 25 points earned from Sept. 1, guests will receive one entry into the qualifying drawings. A total of ten winners will be called at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on each qualifying drawing day for a chance to win the top prize of $5,000 cash. Each winner will qualify for the finale on Saturday, Oct. 28. Guests who qualify for the finale drawing must check in between 5-7:50 p.m. to receive $100 Free Slot Play and confirm their spot in the finale drawings. At 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Oct. 28, wildcard winners will be called to receive $250 Free Slot Play. A total of 100 qualifiers will have a chance at $10,000 in cash. Cash prizes will be given to the winners of each quarter and the final score of the Pittsburgh vs. Cincinnati game, which takes place on Sunday, Oct. 22.

Rivers Reel Slot League — The Rivers Reel Slot League walk-up tournament will continue on Tuesday, Oct. 10. Tournament play will start at 4 p.m. and continue until 7 p.m. All Rush Rewards Members who earn 100 same-day points can register to play in the walk-up tournament during the three hour period. Guests must print their registration slip at any promotional kiosk from 1-6:45 p.m. Those who have the top 50 scores will win Free Slot Play, with $1,000 in Free Slot Play awarded to the first place scorer.

$10,000 Jackpot Drawing — On Wednesday, Oct. 25, guests can compete for the chance to win their share of $10,000 Free Slot Play. Beginning at 6 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1 through 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25, guests who win a jackpot of more than $1,200 on a slot machine will receive an entry into the drawing. A total of 20 winners will be selected and the $10,000 will be evenly distributed to the winners in attendance.

Gift or Free Slot Play Giveaways — Guests who earn 1,250 same-day points on the selected dates below from 6 a.m.-8 p.m. will receive a free gift: 

• Sunday, Oct. 15: Oneida Bakeware set or $15 Free Slot Play
• Sunday, Oct. 22: blanket or $15 Free Slot Play 
• Sunday, Oct. 29: Queen bedding series (sheet set, pillow set or comforter)

New Member Bring a Friend — All current Rush Rewards members who bring a friend to sign up for a Rush Rewards Players Club Card will receive a free buffet voucher for themselves and for their friend (the voucher will be valid same-day and up to 30 days following sign-up). Guests can bring a friend once per week and receive the free buffet voucher. The new member will have the opportunity to earn 250 same-day points and play the kiosk game to win Free Slot Play, up to $100. (Guests cannot sign up for a Players Club Card and bring a new member on the same day.)

October Birthday Celebrations — Happy Birthday to you! Any guest who visits the Rush Rewards Players Club on his or her birthday will receive a free coupon to visit Grand View Buffet. All eligible guests can swipe once at a promotional kiosk during their birthday month to play the Rivers Casino Birthday Wheel Game.

October Birthday Drawing — All Rush Rewards Players Club Members with a birthday in October will be able to participate in the monthly birthday drawings on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. All guests will receive one free entry and can earn additional entries on Saturday, Oct. 7 only (one entry for every 25 points from 6 a.m. until 4:59 p.m.). Guests must check in at a promotional kiosk between 1-4:59 p.m. During each drawing, 20 winners will be chosen to win up to $1,000 in cash.

Pittsburgh Proud — All month long, guests can donate their extra slot vouchers and table chips to Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh, a non-profit, breast cancer awareness organization that provides education and outreach programs to 34 counties in western and central Pennsylvania.

Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh $10 for $10 Free Slot Play or Match Play — On Thursday, Oct. 5 and Saturday, Oct. 7, from noon-8 p.m., guests can donate $10 cash to Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh and receive $10 Free Slot Play or $10 Match Play. The donation table is located in front of Cíao.

Table Games

$50 Buy-in Blackjack Tournaments — On Tuesday Oct. 3, the $50 buy-in blackjack tournament will be held at 7 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to buy-in twice between 6 and 8 p.m. Guests will receive two $25 Match Play vouchers at registration. Guests in the qualifying rounds will play 12 hands of blackjack to accumulate chip count. The top 24 scores will move onto the semi-finals and 6 wild card winners will be called to make a total of 30 players. Those who win their table in the semi-finals will qualify for the final table. The final table of 6 guests will each win cash and receive an invite to play again on Saturday, Oct. 7 at the invite-only blackjack tournament. The winner of the invite-only blackjack tournament will receive a 2018 Mercedes-Benz SLC300R Limited Edition Roadster.

Hot Shooters —  Each day from noon-11:59 a.m. the following day, Rush Rewards Members will have the chance to win three daily prizes of $100 cash and $100 Match Play, $50 cash and $50 Match Play and $25 cash and $25 Match Play if they have the highest number of rolls in the Craps Pit. Guests will have seven days to claim their prize at the cashier. In addition, if a guest rolls the dice 60 or more consecutive times, they will win $500 cash. The bounty will increase by $100 each day if no one rolls the dice 60 straight times.

Learn to Play — Guests can learn to play Craps, Ultimate Texas Hold’em and Blackjack from 5-6 p.m. Thursday-Saturday. Rush Rewards members will receive two $5 Match Play coupons for each game learned. (Match Play coupons can be picked up at the Rush Rewards Players Club. Vouchers can only be redeemed once for each game learned throughout 2017.)

Football Party Pit — On Thursdays in October, guests will have the chance to win great prizes in the hot seat drawings every 30 minutes with the first drawing at 6:30 p.m. and the last drawing at 1:30 a.m. The Party Pit features $5 Craps, Blackjack and Roulette. On Thursdays throughout the month, guests can earn entries for a chance to win a pair of Pittsburgh hometown professional football tickets. The drawing for the football tickets will be held on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 9 p.m.

Poker

October Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays High Hand — On Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in October, Rush Rewards members playing at a live, qualifying cash table are eligible to win $100 cash between noon and 9 p.m. The qualifying period begins each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the first payout at noon. Each qualifying period will last one hour. The player who has the highest hand during the qualifying period will win $100 cash. In the event that no player has a high hand, or the player with the high hand has left, the winnings from that qualifying period will roll into the next payout period.

Thursday High Hand — On Thursdays in October, Rush Rewards Members with a full house or higher at a live, qualifying cash table are eligible to win $500 cash. The qualifying period begins at 4 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. Each qualifying period lasts an hour, with the first payout beginning at 5 p.m. The player who has the highest hand during the qualification period will win $500 cash. Players must use at least one card in their hand in order to qualify. In the event that no player has a high hand, the winnings from that qualifying period will roll into the next payout period.

Friday High Hand — On Fridays in October, Rush Rewards members playing at a live, qualifying cash table can win $500 cash. Players must have a full house or higher to win. The qualifying period begins at 5 p.m. with the first payout at 6 p.m. High hands occur every hour from 6 p.m.-2 a.m. The payouts at 6 p.m., 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. will be $1,000 cash! Each qualifying period will last one hour and will reset at the end of that time period until 2 a.m. (next calendar day).

Saturday High Hand — On Saturdays in October, Rush Rewards members playing at a live, qualifying cash table will have a chance to win $500 cash. Players are eligible to win each hour from 1 p.m.-1 a.m. Players must have a full house or higher and must use at least one card in their hand to win. The qualifying period begins at noon with the first payout at 1 p.m. The payouts at 6 p.m., 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. will be $1,000 cash! Each qualifying period will last one hour and will reset at the end of that time period until 1 a.m. (next calendar day).

Sunday High Hand — On Sundays in October, Rush Rewards members playing at a live, qualifying cash table will have a chance to win $100 cash. Players are eligible to win each hour from 7 p.m.-midnight. Players must have a full house or higher and must use at least one card in their hand to win. The qualifying period begins at 6 p.m. with the first payout at 7 p.m. Each qualifying period will last one hour and will reset at the end of that time period until midnight.
