“Hallowin Kiosk Kraze” and “National Pierogi Day” Highlight October at Rivers

PITTSBURGH — Sept. 30, 2014 — Fall is in full swing this month and it’s the perfect time to celebrate the harvest season. Rivers is ready to embrace the cooling temperatures all month long with gaming promotions, food and beverage specials and live entertainment.

Gaming Promotions

Pull for the Cure $10,000 Slot Tournament – On Tuesday Oct. 7 and 14, all Rush Rewards members that earn 100 same-day base points are eligible to play, and pull, for the cure. For every participant, Rivers Casino will donate $5 to Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh. Registration and play will take place from 11 a.m.—8 p.m. and the top five tournament winners will receive a cash prize. Every hour from noon—8 p.m., five winners from a wild card drawing will receive $100 Free Slot Play.

Hallowin Kiosk Kraze – On Tuesday Oct. 28, from 10 a.m.—10 p.m., guests who earn 100 same-day base points and play a kiosk game are eligible to win a prize. Each guest will choose a pumpkin that will contain various amounts of Free Slot Play and a chance at $5,000 cash.

Wicked Wednesday Slot Tournament – On Wednesday Oct. 1, 8, 15 and 22, Rush Rewards members who earn 100 same-day base points are eligible to play in the walk-up slot tournament. Registration begins at 10 a.m. for the 10 a.m.—1 p.m. drawing, at 2 p.m. for the 2—5 p.m. drawing, and at 6 p.m. for the 6—9 p.m. drawing. The top 20 scores will win Free Slot Play and a pumpkin-themed prize.

Wild & Crazy Cash Drawing – Guests who earned entries from Sept. 1—30 have the chance to go home with up to $14,000 cash during the final Wild & Crazy Cash drawing on Oct. 30. Three winners have a chance at $500 during the early bird drawings every half-hour from 1—3:30 p.m. Six winning names will be randomly selected at 7:15 p.m. Entries must be activated by 7:14 p.m. The winners will be asked to select a numbered case on the promotional stage with a mystery cash prize inside each case. Prizes include:

• First Place: $12,000 + $2,000 roll over = $14,000 cash
• Second Place: $7,000

Creepy Cash Halloween Slot Tournament – On Wednesday Oct. 29, Rush Rewards members who earn 500 same-day base points are eligible to play in the walk-up slot tournament. Registration will take place from 5—9 p.m. and the tournament will be held from 6—10 p.m. Each hour from 7—10 p.m., guests have a chance to win $100 Free Slot Play. All tournament winners will receive a pumpkin trinket.

$500,000 Goal Line Payout – Thursdays through Sundays from Oct. 2—Nov. 29, Rush Rewards members that earn 750 same-day base points are able to take a spin on Rivers’ football-themed progressive payout machine. Players will hit a big red button to take a spin, and when the football icons match on the pay line, you have the chance to win big. Everyone is a guaranteed winner. There will be many prizes, including cash, Free Slot Play and extra entries into the Saturday Goal Line drawings, in which the top prize is $10,000.

$25 Buy-In Blackjack Tournament – On Mondays in October from 6—11 p.m., guests can buy into a blackjack tournament. Each registered guest will have the opportunity to play 18 hands of blackjack against the dealer. Players will receive $25,000 in tournament chips and registration begins at 5 p.m. next to Levels. (All standard blackjack rules apply.)

October Birthday Bash – Rush Rewards members can visit the Players Club on your date of birth to receive a free dinner at Grand View Buffet. Additionally, throughout your birthday month, guests can take one free spin at Rivers’ kiosk game for the chance to win Free Slot Play for one year. Other prizes include various amounts of Free Slot Play and Rivers’ souvenirs.

Learn to Play – Next to Levels Bar, join in from 1—2 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7—8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Guests can learn to play Craps, 3-Card Poker and Mississippi Stud.

Point Challenge – On Saturday, Oct. 18 from 10 p.m.—2 a.m., all Rush Rewards members who swipe in at a Rivers kiosk have a chance to win Free Slot Play or cash prizes by being the top point earner of their card tier. Every 30 minutes, one guest will win $500 Free Slot Play through a hot seat drawing.

Gift Giveaway – Throughout October, invited guests and players who earn 1,250 same-day base points starting at 6 a.m. are eligible to pick up a gift. National Pierogi Day & World Record Attempt – Celebrate National Pierogi Day and join the crowd at Rivers for the World Record Attempt for the largest pierogi. Then, starting at 7 p.m., guests will dance the night away to live music from the Joe Lagnese Orchestra featuring Johnny Angel.
