Pittsburgh’s casino adds another advantage for Team Members

PITTSBURGH – Dec. 4, 2017 – Rivers Casino has partnered with NeighborWorks Western Pennsylvania to step-up its benefits package with a new Homeownership Program for Team Members.

As many other employers are cutting back on their benefits packages, Rivers continues to provide new programs to assist Team Members in balancing work and life. The new program enables Team Members to qualify for up to $2,000 of assistance toward the closing costs of purchasing a home.

To provide this remarkable benefit, Rivers partnered with NeighborWorks Western Pennsylvania—a nonprofit organization focused on promoting homeownership and financial empowerment. Team Members must complete two free workshops provided by NeighborWorks—the Financial Education Workshop and the Homebuyer Education Workshop.

Upon the successful completion of both workshops, Team Members are able to apply for up to $2,000 in closing costs assistance toward the purchase of a home within Pittsburgh’s Northside neighborhoods. These include communities in Allegheny Center, Allegheny West, Brighton Heights, California-Kirkbride, Central Northside, Chateau, East Allegheny, Fineview, Manchester, Marshall-Shadeland, North Shore, Northview Heights, Perry North, Perry South, Spring Garden, Spring Hill-City View, Summer Hill and Troy Hill.

“We’re so excited to be able to offer this program to our Team Members,” said Craig Clark, general manager of Rivers Casino. “Buying a new home is a very important process and we’re glad we can provide the information, education and financial assistance to make their goal of a new home a reality.”

Rivers Casino offers one of the best benefits packages available in the city and the new Homeownership Program is another example of the casino’s commitment to helping Team Members. Some of the other benefits Rivers continues to provide include tuition reimbursement, a dental plan with 100% preventative care coverage and a vision plan with no copay for eye exams and most lenses.
