Rivers Casino Knocks it out of the Park with New Events and Promotions

PITTSBURGH — April 30, 2015 — This baseball season, we hope our hometown team won’t be the only ones with good luck! Hit a grand slam at Rivers Casino with its latest gaming promotions, dining specials and entertainment.

Gaming Promotions

$20,000 Grand Slam Slot Tournaments – On Thursdays in May, Rush Rewards members who earn 100 same-day base points can compete for a top prize of $1,000 cash in Rivers’ Grand Slam Slot Tournaments, with a total of $20,000 in cash prizes and free slot play. Two tournaments will be held each Thursday from 11 a.m.—2 p.m. and from 6—9 p.m. Players who earn 200 same-day base points can compete in both tournaments.

$50K Batter Up for Bucks – Each hour from 11 a.m.—3 p.m. and 6—10 p.m. on Tuesdays in May, winners will be drawn to participate in a game to win up to $1,000 Free Slot Play. Rush Reward members who earn 25 same-day base points from May 1 at 6 a.m. until May 26 at 9:59 p.m. will receive one entry for the drawing.

$90,000 Wild & Crazy Cash Drawing – Guests who earned entries from Feb. 1—April 30 have the chance to win a share of $90,000 cash and Free Slot Play during the four Wild & Crazy Cash drawings taking place on May 28. During the early bird drawings at 1 and 3 p.m., six winners will be selected to share $17,000 cash and Free Slot Play. At 7:15 p.m., six winning names will be randomly selected to win a share of $62,000 cash and $1,000 Free Slot Play, with a top prize of up to $49,000. And don’t forget the second chance 9 p.m. drawing to win a share of $10,000 Free Slot Play.

$10,000 Jackpot Drawing – A special drawing for a $10,000 prize will take place on Sunday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. for guests who hit a taxable jackpot on a slot machine in the month of January. Check in between 5—7:29 p.m.

$100,000 Drive to the Derby Giveaway – Throughout May, players will receive one entry to win two Ford Mustangs for every 25 same-day base points earned. Drawings for additional prizes will take place May 2, 9, 16 and 23 from 2—7 p.m. Entries can be activated from 12—6:59 p.m. The finale Mustang car drawing will occur May 23 at 8 p.m. when one winner will take home two 2015 Mustang cars.

Gift Giveaways – Throughout May, invited guests and players who earn 1,250 same-day base points are eligible to pick up a gift. Receive a robe and slippers on May 10; an “Apps on Ice” gift on May 17; a special Pittsburgh-themed umbrella on May 21; and a Libbey iced tea set on May 24. Guests must visit one of the Gift and Go kiosks between 6 a.m.—8 p.m. to reserve their gifts. Gifts are available for pick-up from 10 a.m.—8 p.m. at the Gift Giveaway Center. (While supplies last.)

Armed Forces T-Shirt Day – On Saturday, May 16, the first 1,000 veterans to visit Rivers will receive a free t-shirt for themselves and one for a guest. Gifts are available for pick-up from 10 a.m.—8 p.m. at the Gift Giveaway Center. (While supplies last; must show valid military I.D.)

May Birthday Celebrations – Happy Birthday to you! Any guests who visit the Rush Rewards Player Club on his or her birthday will receive a free coupon to visit Grand View Buffet.

New Member Celebrations – Guests who sign up for a Rush Rewards Player Club Card from now until May 31 will be eligible to swipe at a kiosk to participate in a promotion available only to new members. By earning 100 same-day base points, new members can win various amounts of Free Slot Play, food coupons or a top prize of $5,000 cash.

$10 for $10 – On May 5 and 6, guests who visit Rivers between 12—8 p.m. have the option to donate $10 cash to the Muscular Dystrophy Association to receive $10 Free Slot Play. The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research.

Pittsburgh Proud – Throughout the month of May, guests can donate their extra slot vouchers and table chips to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The Pittsburgh Proud donation box is located between the two elevators that lead to the parking garage. 

Learn to Play – Join in from 1—2 p.m. every day to learn a new game. Guests can learn to play Craps, Pai Gow Poker and Mini-Baccarat. Rush Rewards members will receive two $5 match play coupons. (Match play coupons can be picked up at the Rush Rewards Players Club. Vouchers can only be redeemed once for each game learned throughout 2015.)

Hot Shooters – Hot Shooters is Rivers’ exciting craps promotion. Every day, the top five “hot shooters” win match play and cash prizes.

• First Place: $100 match play and $100 cash
• Second Place: $50 match play and $50 cash 
• Third Place: $25 match play and $25 cash 
• Fourth Place: $10 match play and $10 cash
• Fifth Place: $10 match play and $10 cash

$25 Buy-In Black Jack Tournament – On Tuesdays in 2015, all Rush Rewards members are eligible to play in the tournament. Participants must pay $25 to join. Check-in will begin at 5 p.m. and run from 6—9 p.m. The final table of six players will each receive cash. (Unlimited buy-ins)

3 Card Poker Tournament – On Saturday, May 9, guests can compete in Rivers’ 3 Card Poker Tournament for $10,000 in total prizes. The buy-in price is $50. Qualifying players will be drawn Saturday, May 2 for 33 free entry spots. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and the tournament will start at noon.

• Second Place: $2,000
• Third Place: $1,500 
• Fourth Place: $1,200
• Fifth Place: $800
• Sixth Place: $500

Table Games Baseball Party Pit – On Thursdays in May from 6 p.m.—2 a.m., hot seat drawings will be held every 30 minutes to receive great prizes. The Party Pit also features $5 craps and blackjack.

Poker Room

Poker Derby Cash Dash – Rush Rewards members playing at live qualifying cash tables will be eligible to play at 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 2. Each player will select a horse participating in the derby. The player whose horse finishes first will win $2,500. The second place finisher will receive $1,500 and the third place winner will receive $500. An additional 20 winners will take home $100. (Must be present to win.)

Poker Race at the Stakes – Rush Rewards members playing at live qualifying cash tables will be eligible to play at 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 16. Each player will select a horse participating in the race. The player whose horse finishes first will win $2,500. The second place finisher will receive $1,500 and the third place winner will receive $500. An additional 14 winners will take home $100. (Must be present to win.)

Straight to the Cash – On every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in May, Rush Rewards members who make a straight at any live qualifying cash tables at noon, 3, 6 and 9 p.m. will be entered into a drawing to win a share of $24,000. Drawing will take place at 9 p.m.

High Hand – On Tuesdays and Thursdays in May from 12—10 p.m., Rush Rewards members at live qualifying cash tables will be eligible to have the high hand.

Cash Wheel – On May 9, 23 and 30, Rush Rewards Members playing at live qualifying tables will be eligible to have the high hand every other hour from 10 a.m.—12 a.m.

Dining and Entertainment

Mother’s Day Brunch – The Grand View Buffet will host a special Mother’s Day brunch on Sunday, May 10 from 10:30 a.m.—8 p.m. For $19.99 plus tax, enjoy a selection of cuisine from around the world, including American, Asian, BBQ and Italian. Live from the Rivers – Throughout the summer, Rivers’ outdoor amphitheater will host a number of live performances as part of the “Live from the Rivers” free concert series. On May 24, Fleetwood Mac tribute band Mirage will perform from 7—11 p.m. Concerts are welcome to guests of all ages.
