Celebrate a Month of Good Luck with New Events and Promotions at Pittsburgh’s Casino

PITTSBURGH – March 1, 2016 – March is all about the Luck of the Irish at Rivers Casino. Visit Rivers this month to check out all-new gaming promotions, dining specials and live entertainment.

Gaming Promotions

All About the Luck Payout – On Thursdays in March, from noon—10 p.m., all Rush Rewards Players who earn 250 same-day base points in the qualifying hours are eligible to swipe at any kiosk for a chance to play at the All About the Luck payout machine. Guests will spin the lucky reels to receive cash or Free Slot Play. Guests who earn entries will be eligible for the finale drawings on April 1, when 10 winners will be announced every other hour from noon—8 p.m. The final winner announced at 8 p.m. will receive the progressive grand prize!

Road to Becoming a Millionaire Walk-Up Slot Tournaments – From 4—7 p.m. on Tuesdays in March, Rush Rewards Players who earn 500 same-day base points can register to take part in the Road to Becoming a Millionaire Walk-Up Slot Tournaments. The top 20 scores will win various amounts of cash or Free Slot Play and the top 10 will advance to the finals on June 25. The top score in the final event will qualify to participate in the 2016 TournEvent of Champions.

Queen of Hearts Drawings – On Wednesdays in March, Rush Rewards Players Club Members who “Get the Queen, Get the Green.” For every 500 same-day base points received each Wednesday, guests will earn one entry for a chance to win cash and Free Slot Play. Entries earned each Wednesday are only valid for that week’s drawing. One winner will pull a playing card looking for the Queen of Hearts and the drawing will take place at 8 p.m. Entries must be activated between 6—7:59 p.m. The grand prize each week is $10,000 cash, with $10,000 cash being added to the progressive jackpot each week the Queen of Hearts is not drawn. Since the start of the promotion in February, $40,000 has been added to the progressive jackpot.

JEEP Drawing – From 6 a.m. on March 1 until 7:59 p.m. on March 31, Rush Rewards Players can earn one entry for every 25 base points for a chance to win a 2016 JEEP and a share of $47,000 in cash, prizes and Free Slot Play. On March 31, drawings will take place every other hour from noon—8 p.m., where guests can win $200 Free Slot Play and an entry into the finale JEEP giveaway drawing at 9 p.m. There will also be a wildcard drawing at just before 9 p.m. for a last-chance opportunity to get into the finale drawing!

Pittsburgh Penguins® Lucky 7’s – When the Penguins shoot, players score! For each second period regular season home game that the Penguins score, fans 21 years of age and older who attended the game can redeem that game’s ticket for $7 Free Slot Play for each goal scored. Guests have two days after the game to redeem at the Rush Rewards club.

Pittsburgh Penguins® $777 Progressive Jackpot – For each second period goal scored by the Pittsburgh Penguins during every regular season home game, Rivers Casino will add $777 into a grand prize progressive cash jackpot, given away April 9 at 8 p.m. (Must be a Rush Rewards Players Club member to participate.)

• Drawing Details: Drawings for participants will take place at 7 p.m. on March 10. Check-in at the designated kiosk for each drawing day will begin at 5 p.m. and will close at 6:59 p.m. Seven winners will be called at 7 p.m. to pick an item to be awarded cash or Free Slot Play, with a top prize of $2,500. During the finale drawing on April 9, 20 winners will be announced every other hour from noon—8 p.m. A total of 100 winners will be called throughout the day to split $100,000 in cash and Free Slot Play. At 8 p.m., the grand prize winner will win the Penguins® Progressive Jackpot.

Gift Giveaways – Throughout March, invited guests and players who earn 1,250 same-day base points are eligible to pick up a gift. Receive a 15” collapsible faux leather storage ottoman on March 3; a $15 Giant Eagle gift card on March 20; and an 11” x 16” porcelain serving platter on March 24. Guests must visit kiosks between 6 a.m.—8 p.m. to reserve their gifts. Gifts are available for pick-up from 10 a.m.—8 p.m. (While supplies last.)

Penguins In Case You Missed It Gift Giveaway – On Thursday, March 10, invited guests and Rush Rewards players who earn 1,250 same-day base points are eligible to receive a free Pittsburgh Penguins winter hat, baseball cap or pillow. Gifts are available for pick-up from 10 a.m.—8 p.m. (While supplies last.)

March Birthday Celebrations – Happy Birthday to you! Any guests who visit the Rush Rewards Players Club on his or her birthday will receive a free coupon to visit Grand View Buffet.

New Member Giveaways – New members who sign up for a Rush Reward’s Players Club Card and earn 250 same-day base points will be eligible to swipe to win various amounts of Free Slot Play, up to $500.

$10 for $10 – On March 1 and 2, guests who visit Rivers between noon and 8 p.m. have the option to donate $10 cash to the Center for Victims to receive $10 Free Slot Play.

Pittsburgh Proud – All month long, guests can donate their extra slot vouchers and table chips to the Center for Victims. The Pittsburgh Proud donation box is located between the two elevators that lead to the parking garage.

Table Games

Three Card Poker Tournament – Throughout March, guests can earn entries for the Three Card Poker Tournament at Rivers Casino on Saturday, May 14. Players receive a complimentary entry for winning a Mini-Royal progressive jackpot on Three Card Poker, or a Royal Flush or Straight Flush progressive jackpot on Let It Ride Poker, Four Card Poker, Crazy 4 Poker or Mississippi Stud Poker and Pai Gow Poker. Players will receive an entry ticket for a drawing to be held on Saturday, May 7 when they have a Three of a Kind or better on Three Card Poker, Let It Ride Poker, Four Card Poker, Crazy 4 Poker or Mississippi Stud Poker and Pai Gow Poker (High Hand.) Players in the May tournament will compete for their share of at least $10,000 cash.

Learn to Play – Join in from 1—2 p.m. every day to learn a new game. Guests can learn to play craps, Mississippi Stud and Three Card Poker. Rush Rewards members will receive two $5 match play coupons. (Match play coupons can be picked up at the Rush Rewards Players Club. Vouchers can only be redeemed once for each game learned throughout 2016.)

Hockey Party Pit – On Thursdays in March from 6 p.m.—2 a.m., hot seat drawings will be held every 30 minutes to receive great prizes. The Party Pit features $5 craps, blackjack and roulette. Throughout March, Rush Rewards members who receive a suited blackjack, make two passes at craps or hit a straight up wager paying 35-1 on roulette will receive an entry to win two tickets to see the Pittsburgh Penguins play at home. The drawing will take place at 9 p.m. on March 31. Entries must be submitted from 6—8:59 p.m. on the date of the drawing.

Poker Room

Pittsburgh Poker Open Leaderboard – From March 14—April 4, guests playing at live, qualifying cash tables are eligible to accumulate points by finishing in the payout portion of any tournaments that are part of the Pittsburgh Poker Open Spring Series. The player with the highest score during the qualifying period will win $250 cash, a trophy and a seat into the next Pittsburgh Poker Open Championship Event.

$7K High Hand – Every Sunday in March, guests playing at live, qualifying cash tables with the highest hand (full house or higher) will win $300 cash. Qualifying periods begin at 11 a.m. with the first payout taking place at 1 p.m. Payouts will occur every other hour until 11 p.m.

March Bracket – From midnight on March 1 until 11:59 p.m. on March 12, players can rake in hours for a chance to enter Rivers Casino’s March Bracket for cash! The top 60 players who earn the most hours throughout the qualifying period will be paired with a team in the national men’s college basketball tournament. An additional four players selected through hot seat drawings at live, qualifying games will also be randomly selected to participate. Players will earn cash as long as their corresponding teams remain in the tournament. Prizes will be awarded based on when each team is eliminated:
