“Rivers Rumble V” Comes To Rivers Casino July 15

World-Class Boxing Returns to the North Shore; Tickets Now on Sale

PITTSBURGH — June 29, 2016 — Rivers Casino, in association with Made Men Promotions, presents a full card of action-packed boxing in “Rivers Rumble V.” The fast-paced, professional bouts will take place in Rivers’ outdoor amphitheater on Friday, July 15.

The Co-Main Event will feature a heavyweight showdown with Pittsburgh native Ed “Black Magic” Latimore (12W-0L, 7KO), putting his undefeated record on the line against top contender Joshua “Too Tuff” Tufte (19W-1L, 9KO). 

In the second Co-Main Event, both a Cruiserweight Title, as well as Western Pennsylvania bragging rights, are up for grabs between Josh “The Handsome Hitman” Himes (8W-1L, 4KO) of Monaca, Pa. and Dustin “Panama Red” Echard (13W-3L, 10KO) of Mt. Washington, Pa.

Other top-tier matches include the face-off between top prospect Matt “Sweet Child” Conway (6W-0L, 3KO) of Pittsburgh, Pa. and his stiffest test to date, Chris Alexander (4W-2L, 3KO); the highly-anticipated professional boxing debut of MMA star Mark “The Pride of Bloomfield” Cherico as he faces tough, nine-fight veteran Henry “Merciless” Mercer; a local grudge match between Mike “The Sledge Hammer” Stull (1W-0L) of New Castle, Pa. and Larry Blakey (3W-4L, 1KO) of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and, in the evening’s Special Attraction bout, 2015 U.S. National Amateur Super Heavyweight Champion, Darmani Rock (2W-0L, 2KO), steps in the professional ring for the third time.
