Rivers Casino Celebrates America’s Birthday with New Events and Promotions

PITTSBURGH — June 30, 2015 — Fourth of July fireworks aren’t the only thing happening at Rivers Casino this July. Enjoy some star-spangled fun with Rivers’ latest gaming promotions, dining specials and entertainment.

Gaming Promotions

$20,000 Sizzlin’ Saturday Slot Tournaments – On Saturdays in July, Rush Rewards members who earn 100 same-day base points can enter to play in one of two slot tournaments for a top prize of $1,000 cash. Earn 200 same-day base points to compete in both tournaments. Tournaments take place from 11 a.m.—2 p.m. and 6 p.m.—9 p.m.

$40,000 Rack Up the Cash Drawings – Every other hour between noon and 8 p.m. on July 1, 8 and 15, two winners from each tier, Rush, Preferred and Signature, will be selected each drawing hour to win various amounts of Free Slot Play and cash, up to $5,000, at the Gift Giveaway stage.

Gift Giveaways – Throughout July, invited guests and players who earn 1,250 same-day base points are eligible to pick up a gift. Receive a 24-piece snapware set on July 5; a portable steel BBQ grill on July 12; and an Oster electric wine bottle opener on July 19. Guests must visit kiosks between 6 a.m.—8 p.m. to reserve their gifts. Gifts are available for pick-up from 10 a.m.—8 p.m. at the Gift Giveaway Center. (While supplies last.)

Patriotic Throw Blanket Giveaway – On Thursday, July 2, invited guests and Rush Rewards players who earn 1,250 same-day base points are eligible for a special made-in-America flag throw blanket. Guests must visit kiosks between 6 a.m.—8 p.m. to reserve their gifts. Gifts are available for pick-up from 10 a.m.—8 p.m. at the Gift Giveaway Center. (While supplies last.)

Pick a Gift – On Thursday, July 9, invited guests and Rush Rewards players who earn 1,250 same-day base points are eligible for a special gift. $10K Lets Go Bucs Bag Giveaway – On Thursday, July 30, invited guests and Rush Rewards players who earn 1,250 same-day base points are eligible for a special Pirates-themed bag. There will be 100 winners who will receive $100 cash. Gifts are available for pick-up from 10 a.m.—8 p.m. at the Gift Giveaway Center. (While supplies last.)

July Birthday Celebrations – Happy Birthday to you! Any guests who visit the Rush Rewards Player Club on his or her birthday will receive a free coupon to visit Grand View Buffet.

$10 for $10 – On July 7 and 8, guests who visit Rivers between 12—8 p.m. have the option to donate $10 cash to Achieva to receive $10 Free Slot Play. Achieva aims to support and empower individuals with disabilities and their families.

Pittsburgh Proud – Throughout the month of July, guests can donate their extra slot vouchers and table chips to Achieva. The Pittsburgh Proud donation box is located between the two elevators that lead to the parking garage.

Table Games

Learn to Play – Join in from 1—2 p.m. every day to learn a new game. Guests can learn to play Craps, Pai Gow Poker and Mini-Baccarat. Rush Rewards members will receive two $5 match play coupons. (Match play coupons can be picked up at the Rush Rewards Players Club. Vouchers can only be redeemed once for each game learned throughout 2015.)

Hot Shooters – Hot Shooters is Rivers’ exciting craps promotion. Every day, the top five “hot shooters” win match play and cash prizes.

• First Place: $100 match play and $100 cash
• Second Place: $50 match play and $50 cash 
• Third Place: $25 match play and $25 cash 
• Fourth Place: $10 match play and $10 cash
• Fifth Place: $10 match play and $10 cash

Table Games Hawaiian Party Pit – On Wednesdays and Thursdays in July from 6 p.m.—2 a.m., hot seat drawings will be held every 30 minutes to receive great prizes. The Party Pit also features $5 craps and blackjack. Throughout July, guests can earn entries into a special drawing on August 27, when one person will win a trip to Las Vegas.

Poker Room

Cash Wheel – On Saturdays in July, Rush Rewards members playing into live qualifying cash tables will be eligible to play the cash wheel every other hour between noon and midnight.

Hot Seats – Rush Rewards members playing at live qualifying cash tables will be eligible for $200 cash hot seat drawings on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in July. Drawings will take place every other hour between 10 a.m.—midnight.

Splash of Cash – On Tuesdays and Thursdays in July, guests playing at live qualifying cash tables will be eligible to win an extra $100 cash every hour from 10 a.m.—11 p.m.

Dining and Entertainment

Andrew’s Steak & Seafood 2 for $75 – From 5—9:30 p.m. on Thursdays in July, Andrew’s Steak & Seafood will offer a three-course meal for two for $75. Appetizers include flat bread, crispy calamari or crab cakes. Entrée choices include filet mignon, pan-roasted chicken breast or Skuna Bay salmon. For dessert, enjoy a Grand Marnier dark chocolate mousse or a caramelized banana crème brûlée.

Live from the Rivers – Throughout the summer, Rivers’ outdoor amphitheater will host a number of live performances as part of the “Live from the Rivers” free concert series. Concerts start at 7 p.m. and are open to guests of all ages. (Access to parking garage and casino building will remain limited to guests ages 21 and up.)
