“First Five” Celebration Continues This Month at Rivers

PITTSBURGH — July 31, 2014 — Join the celebration for Rivers Casino’s five-year anniversary on Aug. 9! But the fun doesn’t stop there. Rivers is keeping the party going all month long with gaming promotions, food and beverage specials and live entertainment.

Five Weeks of Fun

To commemorate its fifth anniversary, Rivers has launched the First Five campaign—recognizing the “Team, Community and You.” Leading up to the big day, players have the opportunity to enjoy “Five Weeks of Fun,” with special events and promotions.

$500K Anniversary Payout – Now through Aug. 9, Rush Rewards Club Members who earn at least 750 same-day base points will have a chance to play in the $500K Anniversary Payout. Guests are eligible to win a variety of prizes including Free Slot Play, extra entries into the Anniversary drawings and souvenirs, all with the chance to win the progressive grand prize. The earning period for each promotional day is 6 a.m.—9:30 p.m.

• Progressive Grand Prize – The promotional progressive meter will increase by $1 every time a guest spins. The prize will start at $5,000 and cap at $25,000. If a player receives three “First Five logos” on the pay line, they will win the progressive grand prize. Any money left over at 7:50 p.m. on Aug. 9, will be added to the base prize of $50,000 cash, which will be awarded at the finale anniversary drawing on Aug. 9 at 8 p.m.
• Saturday Anniversary Drawings – Through Aug. 9, guests will receive one entry into the anniversary drawings for every 25 points earned. Kiosk check-ins each Saturday will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 7:59 p.m. At each drawing, 10 winners will be selected to win Free Slot Play or a cash prize. Every two hours from noon—8 p.m. on July 12, 19, 26 and Aug. 2, one winner will receive $2,000, two winners will receive $1,500 Free Slot Play, three winners will receive $1,000 Free Slot Play and four winners will get $500 Free Slot Play.
• Sunday Sunoco Gift Card Drawings – Guests will receive a receipt after each play of the $500K Anniversary Payout, and it will be entered into a drawing at 10 a.m. on Aug. 3 and Aug. 10. In total, 100 winners will be selected to receive a $100 Sunoco gift card. 
• Grand Finale Anniversary Drawing – Guests will receive one entry for every 25 same-day base points earned for a chance to win one of the big prizes. Winners will be drawn on Aug. 9 at 8 p.m., awarding winners with Free Slot Play or cash. The grand prize winner will receive $50,000 cash, plus any rollover from the progressive meter.

$5,000 Anniversary Slot Tournament – Every Wednesday from 1—4 p.m. and Thursday from 6—9 p.m., Rush Rewards members who earn 100 same-day points are eligible to play in the Anniversary Walk-Up Slot Tournament. The top 20 scores in each tournament will win $250 Free Slot Play.

Anniversary Party –On Aug. 8 ring in Rivers’ anniversary with a special fireworks display at dusk. The casino has a full line up of special events on Aug. 9, including a local paint artist, stilt walkers, jugglers and more.

First Five Twitter Promotion – Guests who follow Rivers Casino on Twitter (@WinBigRivers) are eligible to win prizes by using #RiversFirstFive and tweeting their favorite thing about Rivers Casino. Post a tweet with the #RiversFirstFive hashtag from August 1—August 9 for a chance to win. On Aug. 11, five winners will be chosen to receive $25 Free Slot Play, meals at Grand View Buffet or a Rivers “First Five” gift pack. (Winners will be notified via direct message on Twitter offering a printable voucher that must be presented at the Rush Rewards Players Club within 30 days of winning. Winners must present a Rush Rewards Players card and a valid photo ID.)

Anniversary Hot Seat Cash Drawing – On Sunday, Aug. 10, all Rush Rewards players who are actively playing on the casino floor will be eligible for the Hot Seat drawing. Every 30 minutes from 11 a.m.—11 p.m., one winner will be chosen to receive $1,000.

First Five Table Games Drawings – Now through Aug. 9, guests can earn entries to win a share of $5,555. The first person to roll 72 or more consecutive rolls during the promotional period will win $5,555. If nobody hits the First Five Promotional Bounty all prizes will double! Win $500 at the 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 p.m. drawings, and $3,055 at the 8 p.m. drawing.

Guests can earn entries and prizes by playing the following table games:

• Blackjack: Hit a five card hand with a total of 21.
• Roulette: Make a winning straight up wager on the number 5.
• Craps: Establish a point of 5 and successfully make the point.
• Mississippi Stud, Four Card Poker, Crazy 4 Poker, Let it Ride or Three Card Poker: Hit a Three-of-a-kind of 5’s, Four-of-a-kind of 5’s, or a Full House containing three 5’s and win a PA Lottery Ticket.
• Hot Shooters: Top five daily winners receive a drawing entry.

Cake Pop Giveaway – On Sunday, Aug. 3 any Rush Rewards Club Member can pick up a cake pop to celebrate Rivers’ fifth anniversary. Some of the cake pops will be marked with Free Slot Play in amounts of $10, $55, $555 or $5,555. Cake pops are available for pick up beginning at 10 a.m. (All cake pops are available while supplies last.)

$15.55 Grand View Buffet Dinner – Cheers to five years! On Monday, Aug. 4 from 3—9 p.m., guests can enjoy a $15.55 dinner special. Enjoy the all-you-can-eat buffet featuring stations of Italian, Asian, Barbecue and more. The buffet also includes a wide selection of salads and desserts.

Andrew’s Anniversary Special – Join Andrew’s in celebration of Rivers’ “First Five” with a $55 per person Anniversary Meal from Aug. 4 through Aug. 10. The meal includes: lobster stuffed turbot, steamed middleneck clams, chocolate creme de menthe and more!

Gaming Promotions
August Birthday Bash – Rush Rewards members can visit the Players Club on your date of birth to receive a free dinner at Grand View Buffet. Additionally, throughout your birthday month, guests can take one free spin at Rivers’ kiosk game for the chance to win Free Slot Play for one year. Other prizes include various amounts of Free Slot Play and Rivers’ souvenirs.

Learn to Play – Next to Levels Bar, join in from 1—2 p.m., Monday through Friday and 7—8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Guests can learn to play Craps, 3 Card Poker and Mississippi Stud. 

Paradise Party Pit – On Thursdays from 6:30 p.m.—1:30 a.m., guests can enjoy $5 Craps and Blackjack. Every half hour, guests have a chance to spin the Paradise Pit Wheel and win a prize. 

$25 Buy-In Blackjack Tournament – Be part of Rivers’ $25 Buy-In Blackjack Tournament starting at 6 p.m. on Mondays throughout August. Players will receive $25,000 in buy-in chips and have a chance to win their share of up to $7,000. Registration begins at 5 p.m. next to Levels.

High Limit Jackpot Pull Tab – On Aug. 4, all Rush Rewards guests who win a taxable jackpot (more than $1,200) in the high limit slot area from 6 a.m.—11:59 p.m. will receive a pull tab to win various amounts of Free Slot Play. The pull tab must be redeemed at the Rush Rewards players club from the day after the jackpot until Aug. 4 at 11:59 p.m. 

$25,000 Wild & Crazy Cash Drawing – Earned entries from August 1-31 enter guests for the chance to win a share of $25,000. Entries must be activated by 7:14 p.m. on September 14 for the final drawing. Three winners have a chance at $500 during the early bird drawings at 1, 1:30, 2, 2:30, 3 and 3:30 p.m. Six winning names will be randomly selected at 7:15 p.m. The winners will be asked to select a numbered case on the promotional stage with a mystery cash prize inside each case.
