Players Win More Than $342,000 In New Bad Beat Jackpot Record At Rivers Casino
Set Second 2015 Jackpot Record at Rivers
PITTSBURGH — July 30, 2015 — In the very early hours of July 30, players in a game of Texas Hold’em won the largest bad beat jackpot in Rivers Casino history. The nine players walked away with $342,829.30.
To win the bad beat jackpot in Rivers’ Texas Hold’em game, the losing hand actually earns the most cash, the winner takes second prize and the table splits the rest. One player won $137,131.75; the other received $102,848.79; and seven players received $14,692.68 each. A jackpot of any kind is defined as a win of $1,200 or more.
“Ever since the bad beat jackpot surpassed the record set earlier this year, our poker players have been anxiously waiting for a big win,” said Craig Clark, Rivers Casino general manager. “We’d like to congratulate all of the players at the winning table.”
The new bad beat jackpot is currently $133,054.35.
Rivers saw another bad beat record in January, when eight players split a prize of $304,963.20.
